Pam Beineke goes 205 mph!

Post by bruce » Wed Jul 20, 2011 9:46 am

On 7/16 Pam made her first run of the LTA land speed event at Loring AFB in Maine in the K&K Daytona... She ran 199.9mph. Ack, so close! The following morning, she broke into the 200mph club with a 205.6mph blast... Congrats to Pam on becoming one of the FEW female members of the 200mph club. And notice the cool t-shirt she's wearing at the end of the vid! :D

It gets even better, the LTA just confirmed that Pam now holds the record in the AA-FCT class!

That's great!

I wanted to try and get a chance to talk to them at Carlisle but they were pretty busy with a group of people already...love their work, just incredible. 8)

It was a GoPro, but had I not used the extension, and just mounted it directly, I believe it would have reduced the shaking. I've got some onboard shots and it's pretty steady. Everyone that saw it up there were making bets whether it would still be up there at the end of the run :D

   I couldn't resist...

The buddy who built the engine for my Road Runner quit driving his drag car and focused on building and maintaining it for his wife when they found out she was quicker. :D Of course she's gotta be 100 lbs lighter, so that helps...

Im shocked you can still hear the motor, and there's not a lot of wind noise.
