Hi, My names Andrew.
Im 15, and I live in New Zealand, and dont have any cars at the moment, but hope to be getting a mopar (hopefully a '73 runner) in the near future.
Some of you may know me from www.cuda-challenger.com (I spend way too much time there) or www.dodgecharger.com.
Iv been searching for a RoadRunner forum for almost a year now.

I'd say the 71-4s are a little cheaper than the 71-2s, probably becasue they are more boxy in the front. You could get a pretty nice 74, let's say, for about the same price as a not-so-great 71. I know I went through a time when I thought the 74 was awesome, but I love the curves and lines of the 71. I think about anything is cheaper than an ebody these days, except maybe the chargers-now EVERYBODY wants a General Lee. I like the 71 cudas, but I'm still all about the 71 B's.
There's an abandoned 74 in a town of about 50 a little ways from the farm I lived on. Don't know who owns it, but that would be a nice project. No engine, but it was a 400 4speed with the resonated tips, manual steering box, non A/C, tach, I think deluxe bench, silver with black strobe stripe(weird combo, though, because it seemed to be original paint, but had a blue interior), I don't think it had power brakes either. It was pretty solid, and everything was there, except the drivetrain.
The mopar prices around here aren't too bad. I bought mine for $1250, but that was about three years ago. I think most central Iowans are still obsessed with Chevelles, Camaros, and Mustangs-that's what yo mailny see around here.

Well it is, but 73s and 74s are cheap even compared to cars down here.bruce wrote:Andrew wrote:All of the '73-'74s Iv seen (on ebay etc.) have been pretty cheap.
Well... compared to e-bods.
It IS all relative, isn't it?
I could get an older restoration aussie charger (265 hemi) for around (NZ$)$15k - $18k including shipping (if any)
Or i could spend US$7k-8k on a 73 or 74 roadrunner and with the exchange rate, shipping, import taxes etc, I would only end up paying NZ$15,000.
