Newbie to the site
Hey all....just wanted to say hey to everyone. New to the board but not to Mopars. I'm currently living in Alaska. I have been infatuated with Mopars since my uncle bought his new Roadrunner in 1969. I've had many come and go throughout my life and am trying to hang on to the ones that I am now getting. I have several e-body cudas and barracudas, and a few b-bodies, the latest being a 71 GTX that I purchased in fair shape minus a motor but with a air grabber and a 18 spline 4 speed, price was $1400.00
Just wanted to pass along my greetings.....gonna do some more checking around....

Here is a pic of my old 71 that I had....regret selling that one! It was a 383 auto car with Hemi suspension....I recently ran across it in a eBay auction....broke my heart to see it in the condition that it was in....

That GTX was a killer deal! Way too good to pass up. It was one of those "woulda, coulda, shoulda" stories. The one that got away a long time ago....I just bought the X last Monday!
The previous owner wanted to sell it for a cool Grand, but without the tranny. Since it didnt have a title, we agreed on $865. I went over to BS with him about cars in general and got to discussing what he would take for the car with the tranny, he told me to make an offer. So not wanting to lose out on the 18 spline, I told him $1400, and he took it....The body is not bad on the car, I just honestly hadnt had a chance to do that good of an inspection of it, but it appears to need a right rear quarter or at least to have it patch panelled along with a inner pan.
That white stuff in the pictures is called snow, and its cold to the touch. Thats why I hadnt had an opportunity to get a good look at the car. Plus, it had been cold all week long. (That's my story and Im stickin to it!) The GTX and one of my 70 Barracudas got shipped out to Michigan on Saturday. So not a whole lotta time to do an inspection. The one good thing about living up here, is that the state doesn't use salt on the roads; IE, no rot on the cars!
The car was originally a 440 Auto car, but somebody carved up the tunnel and put a quick shift in it. Real shoddy work. I am going to look for a 4 speed hump to make it look good, along with a few other things....Thanx for the welcomes!

Thats exactly what I thought too.....
If anyone is looking for a 71 Roadrunner, the guy that has my old one may still be willing to sell.....he was asking only $3500 for it....let me know, and I will email him to ask..... Todd

It was a steal of a deal! Reminds me of the days in the early 80's when cars like these could and were had real cheap. Thats how I got my start on them....
69 Charger RT/SE $200
71 Road Runner $220
71 Challenger RT $200 with a spare motor
70 Cuda Conv. $100 Junkyard find (still have this one)
