NCbluebird,

I like the car.
Don't care what's under the hood or what the badges say.

NICE no matter how you slice it.
Lets not rip on a car.

Hell it's nicer then mine.
I'm jealous.
I'm talkin about the car. LOL
Your wife's OK too.

The 340 was available as an extra cost option in the road runner for most of the 71 model year despite what's in the sales info.
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!Image

Yes it is a VERY nice car.... I think having a small block under the hood probably makes it better for more of a daily type driver.

The way the previous owner decided to place the hood depression pinstripping is interesting. Don't think I have ever seen it done that way before.

Ctown, thank you very much for the compliments, I am very happy with my car, I have a small list fo things I want to do and plenty of time to do it. But right now I like it just the way it is. Wife as well, I am sure she'll appreciate the comments, she won't drive the car until I get the disc brakes up front though, I'll get more video of that event when it happens

I didn't take any of the comments as a rip at all, I fully understand anyone else may not like the exact config of this car, the color, that it's a clone or whatever and it's america and you're intitled to your thoughts. I don't mind hearing others opinion either, it's information you know? I may not agree but I learned something. And thank god no one ripped me on the interior shots at the end........... cause the style doesn't match the year, it's a 73 Charger interior I think, did anyone even see the interior at the end? lol

Now the hood stripes, thought that was unique also, I plan to get the strobe stripes that go from the hood indents down over the fender to be honest, I love that look. And yes you're right the small block is better on the road with that 3.23 rearend, I can do a cruising 70 mph at about 2500 rpm which I think is fine.
