Fender turn signals placement

Post by Serious Satellite » Sun Jun 07, 2009 3:47 pm

I'm wanting to install the fender mounted turn signals (got 'em) and would like to have exact measurements as to where to drill the holes. I could eyeball it, but it's my car and I wanna do myself proud (albeit cheap, inexpensive, and affordable, which is why it's taking me four years to get it to where it is, LOL).

So any help would be appreciated. ..

Thanks in advance. ..

I have the shorter, stodgier 73 74 fender turn signals, which fits the shorter, stodgier front end of a 73 74 Satellite. ..

I would measure for you but not only do I not know how or what to measure but i wouldn't want to be at fault if its not the right place.Heres a pic of a signal on my fender, probably doesn't help but at least you know the whereabouts.

Some cars have them on the hood also correct?

This really helps. . .

I had thought they would have been centered on the lines of the top part of the fender, but this indicates that it's closer to the hood than I had remembered. AND there's a great point between the turn signal lens and the back end of the fender mounted turn signal.
