Dodge pickup

I have a new project that will soon become the daily driver. It's a 78 Custom 100 pickup. It's got some faded hemi orange paint with white side stripes and a black interior. It's a four speed, almost looks like a pistol grip shifter, but with a round knob on it. It has bucket seats with the buddy seat similar to the 71-74 column shifted cars with buckets (but these are low-back). Are the seats on these trucks supposed to fold forward, so you can get stuff from behind the seat, or not.
