The seller is being very careful not to share the VIN (I asked).
Well, I looked back through my records. This same car was for sale in Sept 07, located in North Carolina at the time. I have the VIN recorded as RM23V1R239065.
Hopefully the more of these kind of cars we can expose, the fewer people will be taken by a less than honest seller in the future.

I remember this car, but not how much it sold for. Here's a couple of pics that I saved. Pretty sad sight. Man, this car was wrecked hard. There is nothing that is not badly bent or rusted! I'm really against the re-body idea. The guy obviously is not disclosing the VIN so it doesn't get blacklisted. I'm glad Eric has it, so we can be in the know.

Sadly, I could probably use that car. I have enough glass and metal, but I'm in desperate need of trinkets. 90% of all nuts, bolts, washers, screws went rusty or MIA when I stored my car some time ago.

imo, there doesn't appear to be much to salvage from that car....5 grand is BEYOND what it's actually worth...i paid 1250 for my satellite in pretty decent shape with a 440 that ran and drove without much body damage at all (lil rust in the quarters)...regardless of V code, GTX, etc. i don't think anyone could actually justify purchasing that car for anywhere over a grand...and that's stretching it imo

It's pretty obvious that he's marketing it to be a rebody, and I'd think anyone who spends $5K on it has the same intention.
At least I have the VIN info, so hopefully no one gets taken by this in the future.

Yeah, I saw that not too long ago when my dad was E-Bay cruising. That car definitely can't be saved...I'm sorry.

I love Mopars to death, but that one is definitely a goner. That makes me angry that people do this and try to sell them off as "big money fixer-uppers".
