Rear quarters

Post by xray » Tue Apr 18, 2006 7:24 pm

Are the rear quarters being made yet? I found a 71that needs the left quarter and I would like to be able to buy a new one as opposed to hunting down a used one.

So far only the partial panels ala Sherman and Associates or Autobody Specialties. And these are made in China and of lesser quality. Only way to replace a whole quarter PROPERLY on these cars is to find a good USED panel. Hopefully one day (SOON!!!) that will change!

Just talked to auto body specialties and they said goodmark scrapped the 71-74 b body quarter panel skins due to low volume estimates.

Looking through the latest Goodmark online catalog, I see that they are now listing 71-72 rear quarters

Also, Auto Metal Direct is listing them:

And, Auto Body Specialties:

WOW! I don't believe it. I started this post almost 3 years ago (under a different user name).I know there are some anxious people out there waiting for these to be made for real. I'm glad I don't need them with the price tag on them. They sure look sweet. I for one have been waiting quite some time for body parts for our cars to be reproduced. It sure makes restoring a b body a little easier than it used to be.

I haven't seen any of these in person, so I have no idea about the quality.
