Hey everyone. i am 22 years old and Ive been browsing the forums here because i wanted a 1972 Plymouth Satellite,Roadrunner, or GTX. I had a 2008 Charger that was totaled due to the idiot drivers here. So one day i was on ebay and i found a 1972 Satellite for $6,500. 3 days later still nobody placed a bid on it so i called the guy and we talked a bit and he said, "yeah i wanted to put a buy it now on it to sell it faster". and thats when i said, "OH MY GOD IF YOU DID ID BUY IT RIGHT NOW!" so he told me he would for $100 more, and now im the proud owner of this 1972 Satellite Sebring Plus! this car only has 126,000 original miles and has no serious rust. This car means alot to me because i grew up in one of these, my dad had a 72' Satellite since before i was born. Then when i was 10 he bought a sebring plus for $500. AND THEN my mom was driving by a dealer and seen a B5 blue 72' Roadrunner and my dad bought that! Since he had so many cars he let both satellites go and kept the Roadrunner. in 2004 he sold it for $10,000. At the time i was not into Mopars, but as i grew older and smarter, i knew it was destined i drive the car that i grew up with, it brings back memories from my childhood. I will be doing a Roadrunner clone to this car, dropping in a 440+6 pack, removing the vinyl top and painting her Plum Crazy. Expect some good stuff to come along!

I saw that car on ebay, in fact, I was watching it. It is a gem. I would keep it as is, IMOP. You can find a real RR and do what you want then. Not many cars like that.

Growing up, my friend had that exactly year and paint color. It seems to be in such good condition, I'm not sure if I personally would clone it. And I used to hate vinyl tops, but that one looks too nice to remove, especially with the chrome strips and whatnot. Hmmm...

Welcome.....Did you buy that car from Miguel? nice guy.....It looks very solid, very nice! I would keep it original, I have a 71 Sebring Plus, and I think its nice to keep these cars as is. Believe it or not, i see more RR's and GTX's then SSP's. Everyone wants to clone them.

...plus finding a 72 RR grille would be a royal pain the the A$$!!
No matter what you do, good luck and happy miles!

You have a sweet car. I wouldnt clone it if it is original. But it's yours so you do whatever makes you happy.
What kind of gauge is next to the speedo? It doesn't look stock.
