grill
i guess what i am trying to say, do you realize some folks would give thier eye teeth, or thier first male son...for a 72 grill, and you are debating whether to put a 71 satellite roadrunner grill on it??...i know its your car, and you could paint it pink and put yellow polka dots on it, from the looks of your roadrunner its beautiful, why tinker with excellence is all i was trying to say, nothing against 71's thats what i have, but 72's are like the holy grail as far as grilles.....no worries, take care
My Panties are just fine and NO worries here.....I just think that some people think it is all for the money in these cars, To me they are a hobby and the fact that it looks better to me on my car is all I care about, I did ask for opinions and I still thank you for yours.....I just finished plowing holes in the air grabber hood for hood pins....Oh and seriously I did do that and they look GREAT.

I agree, I just wish that the 72 Satellite grill was the same as the 72 roadrunner.Eric wrote:I like the 71 grille on a 71 car and the 72 grille on a 72.....can't stand seeing a 71 grille on a 72, makes me think the car is probably a clone.
Since I am making wishes, "I wish the Scat Pack was available for all slant sixs, and all years." That would have been cool.
I probably lost most of you on that wish!

N96RR1972 - Unless your in a pinch for money, keep both grilles and put the one you like on the car. Keep the other grille for the day you change your mind and want to switch back. I keep different parts for my car and change things back once and a while. That way you have the best of both worlds, so to speak.

LOL .. LOVE the polka dots!..LOL..LOL..LOL..Now my panties are still fine, BUT I need a diaper from laughing so much !!!....Anyways, Yes good idea on keeping both grills...BUT knowing my wife, she would throw it away and say she never saw it....BUT I can not touch her Challenger T/A without permission.Huh...Makes me wonder.

I would keep both grills if possible. I know you don't care to hear about the value but if you change your mind down the road, you'll have a tough time finding another good '72 grill and you'll pay through the nose to get it.
The 72 grill was unique as it was only on the Road Runner whereas the '71 grill was on every 2 door Satellite, Road Runner & GTX as well as every Satellite 2-door in '72.

Wow, two pages on what grille someone likes better...
I personally like the look of the '72 RR grille better than the '71/'72 Satellite. It looks much more aggressive and thought out. True, you don't have the cute little bird's head emblem, but I think the pros outweigh the cons. The '72 RR grille looks less cheap than just a mesh grating. But this is just my opinion and is as worthless as a liberal at an NRA-sponsored gun show.
