Another 71 survivor on EBAY?
Nice car...but it says never repainted except for trunk lid. Weren't the turn signal indicators on the hood chrome originally? And, I'm sure it's no big deal but...no stripes? Then again, mine never had any either.

I didn't have this one before. Very nice original car!
Says the car was Ziebarted early in its life, hence the black inner fenders and wheel tubs.
Strobe stripes were optional, not standard, and I personally like cars without them. I think it allows you to see the beautiful lines of the car better.
Interestingly, the running birds on the quarters are farther back in relation to the emblems than on my original paint car. Just goes to show these cars weren't all that consistant!

Keys do not get to looking like that from driving. They get it from being carried around in a pocket.1972 Road Runner GTX wrote:Boy, those keys sure look like they were used for more than 50K miles!

Another "Miricale Find"
Looks to me someone went to a lot of effort to maximize the curb appeal of this car by slapping a quick driver paint job on it and did nothing else past the eye candy. I see lots of classic car dealers like this. They always do the minimum to get the maximum $$. This is nice car but it's not got the stuff I like. His NADA looks lower than my book but I bet he's got a reserve above the average value.
Whats the deal with the Hillman Avenger? I read this and Googled them and it looks like several years prior to 1971 Plymouth and Hillman may have had a joint venture car but this is not it. Sort of like the Ford Capri.
I know you guys know!
Any way, every intrest has it's purists and "just like it rolled off the assembly line" fanatics. I'm just not one. I will say, however, that once I buy a car I would be loathe to further detract from it's originallity by changing the pant, engine, etc. if it was correct when I purchased it. I like mine how it is with a few minor exceptions. That's why I bought it.
I'm sure this ride will make someone very happy. I just say "let the buyer beware" especially of used car salesmen and preachers.
I'd like the car at a nice price better than at a high price!
Bruce, nice speaking with you today and I will drive to your shop Sun!

1971 Non-Matching GW3 RR that makes some cry and others cuss when I drive past.
