Re: Rear Speaker & Blower Housing
Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the day, when I used to actually drive these cars every day, year 'round, I had stereo speakers and rear defog. I lived in the snow belt and NEEDED the thing! Anywhoo, I used to mount the blower motor to the crossbrace behind the rear seat. Probably didn't suck in as much war...

Re: Carlisle 2011
Well, I got my swap space renewal Thursday and $$ is due by 4/20. Yep, money due in April for a July show. This crap gets earlier and earlier every year. At least they didn't jack the price. Where are you staying Bruce? I might go with the CC.com folks in Mechanicsburg, but it's too soon to know for...

I was thinking the exact same thing. The yellow paint might make a nice base coat for a fresh layer of green.bruce wrote: Shoot, I'd like the unusual original color combo better than the yellow.

Re: What's it Worth? 70 Charger R/T
Non-console hump? If you're asking if you could of got a '70 Charger R/T with a 4-speed, and no console. The answer is yes. Console in a 4-speed, or automotic, was an extra cost option. Thanks. I wasn't sure since a lot of "upscale" things were standard on Charger R/T. I thought maybe console was a...

What's it Worth? 70 Charger R/T
I'm kicking tires on a local (central NC) 70 Charger R/T. No pics, but here's the skinny: REAL R/T (XS29U0G). Was an auto on column with center arm rest, previous owner added 4-speed with pedals and non-console hump. (Was this even available on a 70 Charger?) Was green with green top, TAN interior. ...

Re: Found something interesting
That used to be my favorite magazine before I could drive real cars. Krass & Bernie were the best.
I bet Bruce will have something to say about it!
No clue what the little cover replica is though. (scratches head)

Yes, the later cars had the larger holes in the spring perches due to the rubber isolated suspension introduced in the 73 model year.

Looks super!
What's that Holley you're running? I've never seen that type with an electric choke that's a Mopar application, just the Rochester replacement.

Re: Bucket seat interchangeability
The SEATS were too short or the TRACKS were too short? 70/Early 71 B & E frames are the same with different foam, all other years are different from B to E. In 73 & 74 the E-body upper foam was molded into the frame, so they cannot be altered in any way. E-body seats in 73-4 also had no plastic back...

Re: What's The Story W/ This SSP?
It's an early VIN, so possibly a pilot car or an exec ordered it. Kinda like a COPO in the GM world. Like you guys stated above....but so what? I noticed the copy reads "GayLen's assistant had never blah, blah..." I guess GayLen only gets excited these days when the check clears. Still a cool car, b...

Re: Custom Console
The mechanism is not rebuildable as far as I know, but there are plastic bushings at the ends of the linkage and pivot holes that can be replaced.
I've found that once the detents stop working properly and a good lube doesn't fix it, you pretty much need to find another good, used unit.

The best I can do for you would be a pistol-grip handle that replaces the stock T-handle. (Made in the USA!)
