Re: Radio Antenna

No, I haven't. I was wanting to see an original, the part inside the fender to compare it to the repos. Thanks

Radio Antenna

Does anyone have an original 71 antenna that is out of their car, that I could get a good picture of the base. I can't seem to get this repo attached to the fender right, maybe it's just not made right.
Thanks

Re: How To Get The Instrument Panel Loose....

I think the frame has a cut out on the far left hand side for the vent, on the right the same. You might can get away with removing the wheel and lowering the column, but I think it would be so much easer to just to have it out and have it out of the way. The dash is hard enough to move around as it...

Re: 1973 machine gun exhaust tips question

Almost everybody sells the tips. Now if you sign up with Year One to receive their email stuff, they will run 20% to 30% off adds all the time. I'm not sure if 73 RR tips are shorter than Charger tips like the 71/72 ones were. Maybe someone can chime in and say.

Re: heater core/radiator questions

And why do you need a 28 inch radiator? My 26 inch cools my 528 Hemi just fine. Unless your car came with a 26 inch, you will have to open up the support for one. They make 26 plates just like the car would have come with, but I don't know of anybody that makes one for a 28 inch. Call glen ray, mayb...

Re: 1973 Satellite Kframe question

That is a rubber cushion that separates the body from the frame. They started with the 73 models to make them quite and ride smother. Or are you talking about the big plate?

Re: Gauge issues

New sending units may the the problem. Back in the day, the oil and temp sending units had different ranges for different set ups, but new ones now don't offer that, and unless you know what you need you don't know which NOS one to get, we are kind of in the dark on putting the right one in the car....

Re: Gauge issues

I looked at the service manual and without a special tester there is no way of testing the sending unit, or the gauges.

Re: Gauge issues

Are all the gauges OE gauges? Is the fuel sending unit an OE unit? If I were you, I'd replace that reg with a RT one cause they are designed so that if they fail it will go to the off side and won't fry the gauges. Let me look at my service manual to see if it says anything about voltage. I think 4....

Re: Gauge issues

The best limiter is the Real Time brand. I'd call Charger Specialties and ask them if that is the ones they sell. I have heard that these solid state regulators can read low, I'm not sure of that, but I have heard of it. I have the Real Time regulator, and I feel like mine read low also, but on the ...
