Daddy's Stinky Car progress page - updated for 2022-23.
Purchased this 1971 SSP back in 2007, and have been slowly plugging away at it. Slow and steady wins the race, right? I think the turtle is miles ahead of me! With work, family, and being a homeowner, progress has been slow, but every once in a while I wander out to the garage for a sanity break. I ...

The holes in the quarterpanel are for the roadrunner emblems. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3821&p=23754&hilit=quarter+panel+emblem#p23748 If your car came with the strobe stripes, the roadrunner was part of the decal. Check out the picture thread for all the different plac...

Re: Give me some direction please.
Hey Jeff, great looking project there. Definitely looks like it was ridden hard and put up wet! Haha. As for my vote - I would say put it back close to original. That car has got a lot of great options and will look great in its original B5 Blue exterior, white and black interior, and its white cano...

Re: correct paint color for parts (1974 RR GTX)
Hey Angel, I can get the ball rolling for you. These are the paint colors for the undercarriage parts according to this publication. Keep in mind that this book was put together for the 64ish to 71ish range of muscle cars, and may not be totally correct for a 74. So if any of you 73-74 owners know d...

Re: How useful is a '73 parts car for a '71 resto?
I grabbed up a bunch of interior and internal parts from a 73 SSP for my 71 SSP. Many of the internal body parts, ie floor/trunk pans, cowl area, etc are similar or the same. Door regulators, bottom door panels, glass, windshield/rear window trim, dash parts are all usable. Some stuff is not 100% co...

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
Everyone cross your fingers, I submitted the details and pics to Mopar Muscle for their Hidden Treasures series. I have also submitted the paperwork to the SD DMV to find out who the last registered owner is. I have that back, and will try to contact the previous owner this week.
Scott.

Re: 1972 RR bumper rubbers, standard or optional
Hey Jeff, This question has come up before for 1971's. Here is the link. There is a link in this thread that has option production numbers for 1971 RR and GTX. Sorry no numbers for 1972. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2932&p=17938&hilit=bumper+rubber+strip#p17938 Enjoy! Scott.

71 bucket seats - what do they usually go for?
Hey everyone, What does a set of 71 bucket seats and complete back seat typically go for in very good condition. Tracks are there and the original grey vinyl with grey cloth inserts are in very nice shape. Just curious what something like that would go for? Has anyone seen a set for sale at a swap m...

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
Ian, Yes, this car is going to go back to as original as possible. It deserves to be done that way. I don't think I will go as crazy as getting everything date code correct, but everything will be correct for the year. I have another 71SSP that I need to finish first, so the resto on this one will b...

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
wow how rare is that car? what motor is suppose to be in it? auto or manual? Jeff, Eric, and I are still working out the numbers. On the conservative side, there were probably no more than 200-250 Satellites built, and Jeff feels that the numbers should be closer to 100-120. Regardless, I am very g...
