Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
Are you doing full quarters or just the lower section? I had to re do all the sheet metal around the rear window due to rust holes. I got my welder set up with .025 wire. The trick to butt welds on a panel is not to build up to much heat in one spot. Do a tack then move to another area a few inches ...

Re: Holley Terminator EFI
You may want to consider something like this(see pic). You can get a npt barb fitting to screw into the middle for the return line. You will have to make a hole in the tank though.

Re: 1973 Mist Green (F1) Roadrunner
but in the sea of Hi-Impact or black Mopars, yours will definitely stand out as unique. Sea of them? You must be talking about the in violet/plumb crazy. That was one of the higher # of cars painted with it. Some of the other hi impact colors where low. Take my 71 for instance, It is FJ6 (sassy gra...

Re: where are the 71 rr's for sale?
Only 55 1971 roadrunners with hemis where produced so of course they will be hard to find. Dont limit yourself to just ebay and craigs list. There are other sites to look at. Autotrader, hemmings & copart are just a few off the top of my head. You can do a google search also with your zip code, stat...

Unwanted attention from certain people(cops) may also play into it. Not hard to spot a high impact paint car with a strobe on it from a distance. On mine they removed the strobe and didn't replace it.

Re: 1971 SSP Project
I'm trying to figure out why somebody would paint an original plum crazy - in violet car black? Probably the same mind set as who painted my car maroon from the original sassy grass green. I guess the high impact colors weren't liked that much in the late 70's and early 80's.

Re: Manual brakes to Power brakes quesion
I guess you never tried to stop in a hurry when going 100+ with manual drums. It's not easy even with both feet on the pedal! Don't ask how i know this. LOL My Challenger (along with all my other mopars) has power disk's and loved them! No way i would convert to manual.

The letter "N" is the engine accessories, If you have the build sheet you will see what options are in what letter section. It's possible it could have been installed on the dealer level. LETS SEE SOME PICS!!!!!

Re: Is This Floor From The Factory?
Cars left the factory with more than one build sheet. Behind the rear seat is the most common, Under the carpet and behind the glove box and in some cases in the front seats. I was lucky mine had 3 of them in it untouched. Some idiot drilled a hole in the fender tag to mount something.

Re: Is This Floor From The Factory?
The previous owner lied to me about the restoration work done while he owned it. He said all rusty areas were cut out and replaced. This is why you bring a magnet when you go look at it! You would think if they actually did what they say pics would have been taken to prove it. Then they could ask m...

Re: Is This Floor From The Factory?
I'm going to lay in some mesh and bondo on 3 of them, and cement in a sheet metal patch-cover on the worst one under the brake pedal. Do it the right way and weld in a replacement! If you cant find what you are looking for with out buying a complete floor you will have to fabricate it. Some offer "...
