Hey, a high-impact color on a real V-code car? Not a THING wrong with that! DrewDog, I've still got a bunch of Mopar buddies who still live in SE Iowa, including one who's a professor at Wesleyan. What is it that you do for a living?

What's the correct finish? Mine looked like it had always been left natural.

I did see the 68 barracuda Hemi (factory) racer sold for 230,000 or so ...WOW!

That Dart went for $300,000. And yes, BJ is as much about the egos involved as it is the cars.

Re: Longitudinal Stripes?

[quote="ccb_v2"]Were these a factory option? I have never seen these before...

Yes, those were a factory option on the '72s. Petty cool and pretty rare too.

I'm not aware of any mid-year change on the grilles. RRs and GTXs got silver and black.

I've seen many 71s restored with an all-black grille, and I always chalked it up as a restoration mistake. If I'm not mistaken, a grille for an RR or GTX was black and argent silver (the one on my car is). Satellites got silver grilles.

I don't know the exact length, but the lanyards DO in fact mount to a screw on the fender under the hood. Then the lanyard passes through the headlight bezel.

I'm not sure on the telescoping antenna. I know both Project Blue Bird and my Sebring Plus both have the fixed ones, but both of them are early cars (August and September build dates). Telescoping antenna? I'll be sure and check mine and see what it has... oh, wait... Oh, and on the radial ti...
