Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
Good point. So let me change subject again here and ask which motor would be better capable of handling the higher rpms to reach 200mph? The "B" or "RB" motors?

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
I have only seen one 73' Charger RT in town that has a 400 in it. I'm not able to drive my roadrunner yet as it is in the beginning stages of restoration. To be honest, I'm afraid of even touching it at times. The thing is so original with only 100,017 miles and has the original asbestos brake pads ...

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
I'm gonna be going with aftermarket 18 inch magnum wheels on my car. Always thought the 14 inch factory wheels looked really stupid on 71-74 b's. I'm gonna be putting a barry grant 750cfm on the 383 along with a slightly larger cam. Other than that I won't stray too far from stock specs. I know Rich...

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
No I just wanted a superbird and always have because I love the looks of them. To me, they always looked so alien compared to any other car ever built.

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
This was in reference to a stock roadrunner, body and motor wise. Now I'm sure that if you put headers, large aluminum heads, slightly larger camshaft, and rediculously low numerical gears in the back and it could probably be pulled off. I really don't see the difference between these cars and the c...

Trim the same as the chargers?
I'm trying to find the front and rear windshield trim pieces along with the roof drip rail molding/trim that holds the canopy vinyl top. I was told that the front and rear windshield trim is the same as the chargers in 71-74, but he wasn't sure if the roof drip rail molding is the same. It looks lik...

Anyone running these cams?
Anyone running the lunati 60303 or xe268h in their big blocks? Any sound clips? I'm going to be running either one in my 383 with hipo manifolds and a 2.5 inch exhaust. This is the combination I'm going with: *383 .030 over *KB 400 pistons *452 heads with minor port/polish work (maybe larger valves ...

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
Ok. Like I mentioned, just a simple hypathetical and if it is possible. I'm sure the effects of the gull wing/chin spoilers would definately come into play in this type of scenario. It would make more sense for a 383/400 to be able to pull off this type of situation simply because they are running a...

Re: Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
It's not like this is an unlikely question. The aerodynamics are definately there to pull it off just like the superbird could, although were not sporting the spoiler and noise. I have 3.23 sure grip with a 4 speed. It seems like everything is there to make it possible. I was just curious and though...

Top Speed 71' Roadrunner
Anyone know the top speed of a 71' Roadrunner with a HP 383? Did the factory ever try top speed tests on these cars? I know mine has the 150mph speedo but was wondering if it could reach 200mph if it wanted.

Re: Discount codes for summit or jegs
Summit stopped the discount codes. I tried using the one that was supposed to be good from august of 09' to august of 10'. Summits reasoning for stopping the discount was "We found out that people were abusing the discount code and passing around on the internet for others to use". IMO it was a BS e...

Stock California Exhaust
I got one of the exhaust pipes out and have yet to get the other one out. The pipes are in amazing shape with just surface rust, but my question comes down to the muffler (which is probably just gonna be put in a corner for the rest of its life). This thing seems to be pretty long for a stock muffle...
