Re: 71 Roadrunners - REAL Graveyard Carz
Yeah, it was hard to read off the pictures but I think you guys are right about those codes. Fixed them here and fixed the interior code as well. 71 Roadrunners - REAL Graveyard Carz
About a year ago, I went to a place not too far from me to look at some cars. There were several 71-72 Plymouth B Bodies there and I posted pictures (Post: Mopar Graveyard). Some of you guys had wished I had gotten fender tag info on some of the cars. I went back today and bought a 71 Satellite. Whi...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
I have the ammeter wiring issue repaired. A big "Thanks!" to 72RoadrunnerGTX for the help there. So this shouldn't be an issue with this car for a very long time. I replaced that broken bulkhead connector with the one from my parts car that was in great condition. 72RRGTX was right and the terminals...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
That is awesome information. I really appreciate you taking the time to point me in the right direction. I will get right on this repair. Again, thanks very much 72RoadrunnerGTX!

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
My headlights have not been working so I decided to go through the electrical system some more. Been cleaning connections / grounds under the hood. Made my way to the bulkhead connections and noticed a strange wire with non-stock connectors coming from between 2 of the bulkhead connectors and leadin...

Re: Upgrade for the garage
Nice! Having a TV out in the garage really helps me. I have a small flatscreen and I hook my PS3 up to it and play stuff off Netflix. During my last car build I went through all the Top Gear episodes, every season of the Trailer Park Boys and Family Guy as well and a bunch of others. Hell, I think I...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
I adjusted that carb and it is running a ton better now. Not smoking as bad either. Starts up on the first click most of the time. Idles good. I upp'ed the idle speed a little so it can run a bit. Need to get out the vacuum gauge and adjust the carb better but I went ahead and shot a video so you gu...

Re: finally a little green
It's going to be nice. It's easy to get bogged down when you are doing an entire car so I know what you mean. I try and keep myself to one thing at a time instead of looking at the car as a whole. This helps keep me motivated when I would otherwise get burned out. Focusing on one system or area and ...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
Thanks 71 Satellite! I did everything you mentioned except pull the distributor and prime the oil pump. I reinstalled the gas tank. Put a new battery in it and hit the key. She turned over nice and after a couple tries, I hit it with a shot of starting fluid and it fired right up. It doesn't want to...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
No matter how good of condition a car is in, if it's been sitting for 17 years it's going to need some serious attention (that kind of goes without saying - lol). This week I have been making an effort to give this little 318 a shot at running again. I've hit the major systems and if all goes accord...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
Thanks sdweatherman. It is pretty cool, and I appreciate you saying so. And really, that's what I was thinking... If this 318 runs good in it, then I will just keep her as stock as possible. But if it's a bad engine and I've got to pull the original engine, I will probably just build the whole car d...

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
Haha, there's not much of a vinyl top to keep! But, I know what you mean... And I haven't decided yet. If I keep it stock, I will put the vinyl top back on it after I repair the rust and before I replace the windshield and headliner. If I mod the car, I will not have a vinyl top. You know it's reall...

Broadcast sheet RP23M2G20_980
RP23M2G20_980 Found this in my car. Very tattered. Still mostly readable. Some missing here and there though. It's for a 72 Satellite Sebring Plus. 400ci. GY9 Tawny Gold Metallic paint. White/Black deluxe bucket seat interior. White vinyl top. Sounds like a nice car. If it's yours just let me know.....

Re: 3rd Time's a Charm?
Thanks! Well some of the white plastic is kinda chalky. If I go to restore this one I will just mix up some of that plastic spray "dye" and shoot white on the plastic interior parts from my green parts car. I actually have all the exterior trim now. The only save-able pieces left on my green 72 Sebr...
