Been there done that. Thermal expantion will cause the noise to come and go. Mopars have week timing chains and sometimes plastic like cam gears. If I remember right. I would recomend a good double roller timing set of any brand. BE SURE you line up the timing marks on the gears. Some chains are fan...

Leave it out. You will find with a little research that the autos in factory hi-po cars had no spring. The firmer, more positive shift will add to a longer lasting trans anyway.
