Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
And I gotta say, the NEW Road Runner Nest looks pretty dang cool. You're gonna LOVE the functionality of being able to have your own photo album hosted on site and being able to pull from that album to post in the forums. It will take a bit, but the overall improvement to the site is going to be tre...

Welcome! You bought the car with the stripe! I saw that one on the local Craigslist... Where in NC are you? We live in Graham.

Re: Decode Question
Yeah, I was thinking maybe you had a rusty, crusty, bent or broken fender tag and it may really be E68... nope, not the case! Your tag is about as pristine as they come.

Re: Decode Question
E68 would be the code for a 4 bbl 400. Look close, is that 3 an 8?

Re: Decode Question
Looking at Galen's White Book for '72 it does indeed say E63 is a 400 2bbl 181 hp engine and EW1 is Spinnaker White. Isn't the paint code on the fender tag twice for the body color and the upper door frame color or something? There's no "W1" mentioned in Galen's book that I can find.

Re: 15/16/17" ?
Sizes on mine are 245 40 17 on the front and 275 40 17 on the rear. Like I said, NOT enough side wall height!

Re: 15/16/17" ?
17 x 7" on the front and 17 x 8" on the back... only wish I had found some tires that had more sidewall height. But eventually I WILL. Bruce, what size tires are you running? Do you see any reason why these wouldn't fit on a 1973-74 ? I'll actually have to check the tire size on the car when...

Re: JY9 Tawney Gold
Steve, check out this thread of Gionni's build of a radical GY9 Road Runner over in Europe. His car looks killer in that color! You'll have to scroll down quite a ways...

Re: WIW 71 GTX Triple Green
Steve (quapman) has passed on the GTX he posted, so the car is still available. In the neighborhood of $4k as I understand.

Re: Disc brake conversion kits
All F-Body stuff on mine. They work fine. The car now has the best brakes it's ever had.
Mine was a kit from US Car Tool and the drilled and slotted rotors are an option on the kit. In the second photo you can see the calipers that we powered coated orange.

Re: old car, new shoes
But notice how they use all that beautiful red and purple to counterbalance that gold butterscotch awfulness... AND they added some pearlescence and metalflake to the mix...

Actually I've got a new favorite color. It was on this Studebaker Lark gasser at the Gasser Shootout at Piedmont Dragway yesterday.
