Re: electrical power

Need to check the 12ga black with white trace wire at the headlight switch for voltage. Receives it voltage via a splice in the dash harness, spliced directly into the alternator side of the ammeter. This is also the power take off circuit for most of the electrical loads of the car while in operati...

Re: electrical power

The Radio is grounded to the dash frame, not the antenna. Blower motor grounds on a wiper motor stud. Forward lighting grounds to the core support. Doesn’t sound like a ground problem to me, get a volt meter out and start troubleshooting voltage supplies, starting at the fuse box. No, the rear body ...

Re: 3 nipple breather question...alternative?

The Quick Fuel carb should have a 3/8” nipple provision for the PCV at the rear of the throttle body. On a street carb, I’d be surprised if it didn’t. Most aftermarket intakes come with a 3/8” pipe threaded port, normally plugged, as did all factory manifolds, for the appropriate hose fitting to acc...

Re: 3 nipple breather question...alternative?

The three nipple factory breather cap can’t correctly be run with both the 3/8” and 7/8” nipples capped off. It needs the 7/8” open and preferably plumed to the air cleaner for PCV cross flow. If you are not running a carb with an enclosed bowl vent valve you can plug off the 3/8” nipple designed fo...

Re: steering column power vs non power?

The overall length of the steering shaft is longer for the non-power application. All other column components will interchange. If need be, use your original shaft in the replacement columm.

Re: So......I want to add A/C....

If my car did not have factory a/c , the firewall is different? Eek! Can it be modded for it? Yes and yes. Non A/C to factory A/C conversion on a current E-body project(same firewall,A/C box). http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd81/dewilkinson/Franks%20Challenger%20project/0e7cbb21-c7e0-4614-8269-...

Body guy is correct, three or four spot welds on the underside flanges and seam sealer worked down into the joint. A joint line is visible however.

Re: image of exhaust part that connected to choke 72 RR

Again most of them have rotted away by now or removed years ago and likely thrown away, I had watched E-bay for several years before coming across two of them a few weeks apart last year. I have an extra but it’s pretty rusty, heavily pitted and very thin metal, no mounting ears. The one pictured wa...

Appears you are only missing the cam. Same basic cam was used with all OEM Mopar Holleys, including the 4160 4bbl.

Re: Fuel line question

You are describing the fuel tank vapor separator vent line, 5/16", it is two pieces, joined by a small section of hose with keystone camps originally. The extra routing up the inside of the inner fender makes that line difficult to install as one piece. I’d check with where ever you bought the line ...
