Quarter panel emblems?
Jeff Yes, there were emblems there. The cars that came with the roof strobe stripe did not have emblems, the ones without had "road runner" emblems over the rear wheel wells (you should have 4 holes on each side). Look through the images section and you should see some examples. I have a set of repr...

Another ebay high / 71 sidemarkers
Here's a single NOS sidemarker that just sold for over $400!!!! It's amazing how all over the place these prices are. I remember the full set of NOS lenses on ebay not more than a month ago that only sold for a little over twice this price. Are people out there going crazy? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaym...

Good find
Looks like a great buy Dave! It's hard to find a car that solid here in Ohio. You'll have to bring it down for the Classic.

Don't think either is available anywhere...
You can find the black handled ones on ebay occasionally, but hardly ever the chrome ones. I've been looking for a chrome one for a couple of years now!

440 + Air Grabber?
The hood itself is no different for various motors, the only difference is the air cleaner base

4dr vs 2dr
True the lenses are different between 4dr and 2dr. Besides the locating pin, the curve of the housing is different too (to match the shape of the fender). The difference is barely noticeable though. They also have different part numbers on the housings. The prices for the 4dr lenses aren't that high...

WOM
I have 3 of the 4 on the car, the other is waiting until I'm able to get the RR out of the garage to pull the wheel. I'll get pictures whenever I get them all on.

Well they sold (met reserve) for $1450. I'm surprised reserved wasn't higher, and I'm also surprised someone payed that much!!!

ebay lenses
That's incredible. I wonder how high reserve is set. I know the tail lights are going for anywhere from $150-$200 each and a set of sidemarkers would bring $800+.

WOM update
The WOM's finally arrived today! I have to say that they look better than the preproduction pieces I saw last year. None are perfect, they all have a few scrapes, but not bad. I'd say they're as good as any NOS pieces you'd find. If you put them on a concourse car you'd need to do a little work on t...

Layson's update
Just a quick update about the WOM's from Layson's...2 weeks since the call and I haven't seen them yet, but in typical Layson's fashion, they billed my credit card two weeks ago! I contacted them today, and I got excuses (again normal) but they promised that they'd be shipped this week. It's a good ...

Layson's
Give Dave Layson a call. You'll find that he's a really nice guy to talk to. He attends a lot of the shows when they have a vendor tent and is usually there selling along side his employees.
And as for the 71RR grille bird...if you can find one NOS they're going for a little over $100 on ebay.

Vendor warning
I just wanted to warn everyone about Atlas Obsolete Parts out of California. I recently bought a set of advertised NOS side marker bezels from them on ebay. I started to suspect something when 2 weeks went by and nothing had arrived. Finally when they did arrive, I opened the package to find a set o...

Wheel opening mouldings
I just got a call from Pat Layson yesterday about the long overdue repop WOMs. They're scheduled to ship next week! I'll post an update on the quality once they arrive. Hope they're good, they definately weren't cheap.

Headliners
Can anyone tell me which headliner is correct for an early build 71 LA car? 4 or 6 bow? I know my old FE5 RR built in February at the St. Louis plant had a 6 bow, and the early build LA car I have now currently has a 4 bow which I believe has been replaced. Was there any logic to what was used when?...
