Re: Bucket seat interchangeability

You feel two rows of buttons underneath? Humm. Those sound to me like they're '73-'74 B-body seats. The '71-'72 B-body seats didn't have any buttons on them. This. The buttons were 73-up. I did not realize that the '71 bucket frames were different from the '72s...poop. The seat covers are for a '71...

Re: Cleaning dash switches and other instrument cluster topi

I definitely wouldn't use soap and water! There is a Electric Contact cleaner available at most auto parts stores. It's very similar to Brake-Kleen, in fact it might be the same thing. It comes in a pressurized can, dries quickley and leaves no residue. I use to use it to clean my pick-up switches ...

Re: Speedometer

Tyler,

Did you find a 'factory' sppedo? I looked at their site but only saw the tach...which, at $199 for a 'new' unit with updated internals isn't too bad.

Cleaning dash switches and other instrument cluster topics

Hi all, Sorry if this has been covered at some point, but Search brought up nothing. I'm looking for info on the best way to clean up items such as headlight switches and wiper switches. I figure I could just use soap and water, but I worry about gunking up the inside of the switch in doing so. I pl...

What he said.

But, if you can spin it with your pinky , you should be good...it's not going to free-spin like a bike wheel, but I would deff check all clearances with plastigauge...it's dirt-cheap insurance.

Good luck

Re: What is the difference between a Road Runner and a GTX?

Having owned a '74 RR with a 400/auto, I know that the only engine that came with the GTX was the 440. Back in '92 when I had the car, there was believed to be around 300 GTXs built in '74 (which matches other numbers listed here), but as far as I know, there is no number for the 400-equiped RoadRun...

Re: maintenance book

A reproduction FSM (Factory Service Manual) would be best and can be ordered from Year One, which is likely the best source based on your location, but others do sell them too.

Just as an FYI, you usually can't go wrong with 10W/30 in any V8 mopar.
