I'll get back to you...need to check my FSM and get the real numbers.

Re: Where are we on the 'GTX badge' thing...

My '72 Road Runner "GTX" had the "440" on the hood "horse shoes", the 400 engined cars were blank. Air grabber hoods did not have the horse shoes so the 440 was on the fender. I have 3 small "GTX" emblems. One on each fender behind the wheel well in front of the door. The trunk has one. Mine is on t...

Re: Which RR Nest members have the latest car birthdays 71-7

Mine was June 20 (fender tag and line 1, "order number" first 3 digits) and according to what I've been told, line 6 "time" block says 0953 and that's when the car was "complete" although I can't verify that. On the Monroney sticker, under the "S.O. NO." is "65207" and "63" whatever the hell that me...

Re: Keisler 5 speed conversion

I put the Keisler 4 spd OD in my Road Runner to replace the original 727. I had lot's of "issues" with what was shipped but figured no big deal as I just turned them into "product improvements." Things like transmission cooler tubes weren't even close to fitting. Might as well have sent straight one...

Re: 1972 340 4spd RR

Thanks Eric, I wonder if this is the last of the 329 340 4spd RRs built in 72? If not its got to be close. Also for being built on the last SPD for 72 its odd that they were still using up 71 340 blocks. My Road Runner was built on June 20th, and had '73 casting numbers on the block but a 5 May '72...

Re: WANT DIFFERENT WHEELS...WHAT DO YOU LIKE

I like the wheels but they are a pain in the butt to polish! From what I understand the place that made the plastic hub covers no longer offers them, so I take extra care to not break one of the tabs when I take them off to clean the wheels. There are a ding or two in them but hey, they've been on t...

Re: WANT DIFFERENT WHEELS...WHAT DO YOU LIKE

If you can find them, here's what I've got. I bought them in 1973, but as far as I know the Indy 500 Mags ceased production in 1974.

Re: Broadcast sheet question.

I found three broadcast sheets in my '72 Road Runner. The one for my car and two others. One under the right front seat the other on the driver side of the rear seat. (mine was under the passenger side of the rear seat) The one under the driver seat was for a 72 Satellite Sebring Plus with the same ...

Re: 3 point shoulder Seatbelt

I have a '72, put new headliner in. The shoulder harness mounts to the roof above the windows, through the headliner. There is also a clip to hold it if it is not attached to the seat belt. So....I just put the shouldner harness in the "not used" box and just use a seat belt. If I ever get stopped I...

Re: Petty Blue 71 RR's?

This may be urban legend, and I hope to put it to rest as this May I'm going to Charlotte for the NASCAR race and plan on visiting Petty's Garage open house. The color was B3, no doubt about it. My '72 has it but it's called "Basin Street Blue". Legend is that since The King wanted a winged car in '...

Re: reproduction Rallye Tach

I got one from Charger Specalities and it was OK except it was 8000 rpm (stock was 7000) and jumped around a lot, not to mention it wasn't all that accurate. Also had an issue with the screws and mounting in the Rallye Dash didn't line up so had to sent it back. They made it right but still.....then...

Re: Alternator brackets

I think being a '75 might make a difference too. There might have been a air pump on it. I don't remember when that came to being as mine had minimal "emissions" stuff. As you can see on mine the rear two belts drive the a/c and alternator. With the p/s next forward and the water pump (with idler pu...

Re: Alternator brackets

Sorry this is such a late bump, but it's odd to see that layout. I have a '71 with 440 (it's a '75 block and a mix of parts) but it has A/C and PS on it and there is one belt that goes around the crank, A/C pulley, and alternator, there is another belt that runs around the waterpump, crank and PS p...

Re: Power Steering Bracket Assembly

My Road Runner had a June 20 production date which makes it pretty "LATE" in the model year. So late that the casting #s on the block, although it was cast in May 1972, were 1973 production numbers. Being a one owner "survivor" I can state with absolute certainty the power steering bracket and pump ...
