Re: Satellite Sebring Plus emblem question
Hi, Here are some pics of my original '72 SSP back in 2006 before I had a lot of work done. This '72 400 car was all original and had not been messed with (except for Magnum 500s - I like Magnum 500s). Although it is a '72, emblem locations are the same as your car(s) and the decklid only ever had S...

Will be a very nice SSP - there need to be more of them. Look forward to seeing the progress. Are you going 318?

Re: 1972 400 Block Casting # Question
My '72 400-$ BBL SSP is a 9/72 build car (IIRC) and is numbers matching. Here is a pic of the block from 2010, when the engine was being fully rebuilt / ported.

Re: 72 Satellite production figures
Hi, I have an original matching numbers '72 SSP 400-4BBL auto / w/ Slapstik. Engine / drivetrain has been extensively restored and car has been thoroughly inspected w/ all floors / frame rails in good condition. Some L/H quarter panel work required, rust bodywork is limited to some very minor panel ...

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
I didn't take to many pictures, but I did get a few of this beautiful 71 GTX. I'm not going to post to many pictures of it. I will let him show off that beautiful ride himself when it is finished. Here is a sneak peak from over head. I don't think my car took a very good picture under the lights. A...

Re: 1972 SSP 400-4BBL Progress
Hi, Thanks for your comments. I did not install myself (I am away for work), but the shop that installed it confirmed it is an Accuform dashcap. I have not seen it myself yet, so I can't confirm if there is a gap. I do remember looking at a similar (Accuform) dashcap installed in a Challenger being ...

Re: 1972 SSP 400-4BBL Progress
Hi, Been a while since I posted. Have started the next resto stage - interior. Here are some pics for anyone wondering what a well-installed (as in, I didn't install it) dash-cap looks like. More pics to follow as I redo a full off-white ('72) SSP interior. Before: http://i271.photobucket.com/albums...

Re: Newb that loves his '71 SSP
I am just getting around to completing my '72 SSP after 20 years. I did not want / expect it to take 20 years, but life got in the way and changes plans. It only got all the major mechanical work done in 2009 - before that, it had been stored since 1992 w/ very little useful work done. Now it has a ...

How Long Should You Keep a Car?
One of the most interesting features of a road-trip or conversations whenever enthusiasts get together has to be the reports / sightings of cars out and about and / or a tucked away off the road, negelected or generally waiting for attention. Generally this is accompanied by a automatic perception t...
