Re: 440 Build

Many many years ago, at the Mopar nats I was looking for a cheap intake, as I was bucks down. I found an old Weiand I had never seen before, shrugged my shoulders and gave the guy $25. Best money I had ever spent. Since that time, I've used the same intake on 3 different 440's, and still like it bet...

Re: Repop upper door panels

I can't say for sure about Legendary's 71-4 door panels, but everything I've ever gotten from them has been first rate. I think the worst was a set of door panels for a '66 el Camino that had one clip mounting tab glued in the wrong place. PGI however is a different story... I just got one of their ...

You just reminded me again of the quality difference between Legendary kits and the one's I got from PGI... now I want to cry

Lookin good Barry. Seems it's been a good year for second generation cars. Took me almost exactly the same amount of time with mine. (Course I did have a little extra motivation)

Re: different look for gauges

I've got no doubt you can do it. The PT Cruiser I've talked about used vintage Challenger guages in the factory pod, with some re-wiring.

What you've shown there is different, and should look good, I'd say go for it

Re: New owner of 71' RR Need Help

A few things I can tell you: The curious yellow is a high impact and desireable color, the dictaphone is a rare and desireable option,t he amber lens, well, later in the year they went to amber, so that may just be a late build car. Clock, MAY be rarer than a tach, but whether it's more desireable t...

Re: 71-72 Wheel opening moldings

I know the re-pops are selling for like $350, and I got VERY lucky last year at the Nats and picked up a used set plus two extras for $100, but they needed some straightening, and a lot of buffing. I'd bet if you put them on e-bay, they'd bring at least $500, and like they said, could go up into the...

World of Wheels, Huntington WV this weekend

They are advertising at least 150 cars, I figure more, they have been filled since late November. I know my GTX copy will be there, a hemi powered 56 Ford F-100, and a 440 powered PT Cruiser. All nice cars, and of course, a General Lee... What show would be complete without one? lol Starts Friday, Ma...

Re: 1971 roadrunner vinyl top trim

Do you need the L shaped piece, the straight piece, or the curved piece that runs up along the window? I have a set of the L shaped pieces and 2 sets of the curved, but none of the straight pieces.

Re: 72 Road Runner and Road Runner/GTX Grill paint Question

[quote="72RoadRunnerGTX"]There is only one set part numbers for the center section and two headlight bezels that make-up the 72’ Road Runner grille. It would appear that every Road Runner in 72’ received the same grille. The original paint on the two every nice NOS pieces I have is definitely no...

Looks like they (And you) are doing things right. I'm glad to see you holding onto something, especially as it gets more and more sentimental value to you. What part of TN are you in? Gotta feeling you're around Clarksville....

Re: 72 Satellite

Sweet ride what is the colour code? 1971 Tor-red/hemi orange, V2. It's a metallic orange. It's not a base/clear mix here, I used acrylic enamel first, then cleared over it. Took me almost 6 months when we got the first car to realize it is a metallic, and only saw it then when the sun lit it up. I ...

Re: Does anyone make 71 Satellite outside door handles?

The one's I took off and the extras I have all fit with no shims too, but they are really old looking, or broken. I guess that the 75 and later mounting points are less dished that the 74 and earlier, and these handles reflect that. That's what I get for being cheap, spending $45 instead of $200.

Re: Does anyone make 71 Satellite outside door handles?

Heck if I know... they are the same as I took off and they open the door. That's what matters to me. thanks for the numbers tho. I'm sure since they are re-pops from China they won't have numbers on them. The car's just to have fun with, and to give my ex some motivation to fight thru her cancer.
