Re: Fender Tag
I looked up your VIN number in the '72 RRs I have written down over the years, and I had it in my information. Which included the fender tag. It shows a N23 code, not M23. Which would be electronic ignition.

Re: New guy
Unfortunately the rear exhaust valance for a '72 Plymouth is not being reproduced. Hence why they usually ask big bucks for one when you run across them.

Re: Hot Wheel Paint
No, Chrysler never had a stripe like this. Only Mattel gets the pleasure of trying differenct looking stripes on their Hot Wheels that look good. The better they look. The more Hot Wheels they sell! But if you were doing a custom type car. Where stock didn't matter. Then I'd take this Hot Wheels car...

Re: E3 spark plugs
For what it's worth. When I was young, and they'd come out with all these fantastic spark plugs that promised you the moon, and more. I'd ask my dad about them. He was a mechanic by trade. He'd say to me: "Son, if they were as great as they say they were. Don't you think all of the car manufactures ...

I've seen pictures of them on Satellites over the years. But I only ever saw one on the street out here in Orange County, CA. Which was back in the 1972 - 1973 time period. Never got to talk to him. Everytime I saw him. He was headed the oposite direction.

Re: EV2 SATELLITE SEBRING PLUS
Chances are for '72 it's a rare color. But you need to sit back, and understand the meaning of rare. If the dealers thought they could of sold lots of '72s Satellites in EV2. Chances are there would of been a whole row of them sitting on the dealers lots. But there wasn't. Because they had a hard ti...

Re: Where does the RR decal on a 73/4 go...
They got cheap in 1973 & 1974 when it came to the vinyl roof Road Runner. They only put the chrome script on the sides of the car. No running bird along with it. Just the bird decal on the front header panel, and on the trunklid.

Re: 1972 Road Runner/GTX restoration
If you have the deluxe interior door panels. They're the same between '71 & '72. The standard interior panels are the same between '71 & '72. But I think they only reproduce the deluxe panels, and not the others.

Re: There are still idiots in the world
Can't see the rear valance well enough in the picture to see its condition. Which is probably toast. But according to the fender tag. This car originally came from the factory with exhaust tips installed. All of us who have '72 Road Runners. Know how hard it is to find one of these exhaust tip rear ...

Re: WANT DIFFERENT WHEELS...WHAT DO YOU LIKE
Thanks for the info. Looks like I should look into the cost of installing air-ride suspension. I wouldn't want them rubbing when I'm going down the road.

Re: WANT DIFFERENT WHEELS...WHAT DO YOU LIKE
Question for gionni. On those 19 x 8 & 20 x 10 rims that you're running on your car. What size tires are you running on those? What's the off set of the rims? No problems with rubbing, right? The more I look at your car. The more & more I like the looks of one of our cars down on the ground as a roc...

Re: Good showing at Barrett Jackson so far for 71-74 B-bodie
That was the seller's mistake. Or possibly bad advice. As you could of put your car in with a reserve at B-J this time. But putting cars in as a package deal. Usually sells for less money. Than if you sell them separately.

Re: What to offer for an Airgrabber hood?
It seems like everyone wants to put an airgrabber hood on their Road Runner. It does look mean. But I'm sort of with you. As I get more oldy & moldy. I find that I'm starting to like the stock Road Runner hood more and more now. No offense to you '73 & '74 RR owners. But that was the thing that disa...

Re: What to offer for an Airgrabber hood?
Don't be afraid to rattle the cage of a friend with an offer. I did this with good friends. As well as guys I didn't know. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! I know when I get around to putting the one I have on my car. I don't want all of the stuff underneath the hood. That makes it functional. I'll...

Re: What to offer for an Airgrabber hood?
Offer him fifty bucks. When he screams bloody murder at you, "No Way!!!" Or something to that effect. Then ask him how much he wants for it. From there see if you can work out a deal that satisfies both of you. I always hated someone asking me, "What's it worth to you?" I'd rather know what sort of ...
