Re: N42 Exhaust Tips
I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure only the Hemi cars with the exhaust tips got the resonators. Yes, those are short, but they're completely different than the regular short tip.

Re: Barn find
I know we like to think of gold as not being a popular color. But quite a few of the '72 RRs I have info on were originally gold. They wouldn't of made that many if they didn't sell. Restore a RR with a good gold paint job, and the car looks great.

Re: In any language it's a HEMI RR
I thought that too at first. But then realized it's just that the camera lense is to close to the wheel, and it's "bending" the image. Take another look at it when he's sitting in the car, and you'll see that the wheel is normal.

Re: rear end swap
Why would you want to purchase two weak rearends? They weren't meant for serious power.

Re: Shifter swap
Actually in 1974 they went back to putting a ball console shifter in the B-body. It's not the same as found as the '70 E-bodies. As I recall it's taller than the E-body, but it's been years since I've seen a '74 B-body console car as I don't get out much. I think they changed it due to the fact the ...

Re: 1972 Code question
The G2X9 should be C2X9 for black deluxe bench interior. Sometimes it's easier to look at the back side of your fender tag to figure out what is stamped.

Re: 1972 Code question
Sounds like you have some rust or dirt on your fender tag. The so called X23 or V23 or Y23 in the position it's in should be N23 which is electornic ignition which was standard equipment on the 1972 Road Runners.

1971 HEMI Road Runner
Anyone know who owns RM23R1G113591? A friend of mine emailed me, and said a friend of his has what's left of the broadcast sheet for the car. It's metallic blue. Would be nice to get the broadcast sheet back with the car.

Re: SPOILER
Spoilers were an option that were sadly discontinued for the '72 Plymouths. Although they did offer a front one in the aftermarket options catalog for '72. I liked the looks of the '71 rear spoiler. I ordered one and the front chin spoilers at the local Plymouth dealership and installed them on my '...

Re: 1971 Roadrunner with 383
Unfortunately it sounds like dreaming to me. I don't consider October of 1970 to be early. Considering they start building them in early August. With as many 1971 RRs as they made. I doubt if they had any left over early 383 hi-po engines by then.

Re: putting2 6x9 speakers in a 71-74 b-body.
The factory to the best of my knowledge never offered two speakers in the back. They used to sell two different size speakers, 5x7, and 6x9, hence, why the two sizes of holes. So you could install either size, aftermarket. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but it is, what it is.

Thanks, maybe that's why my friend's car doesn't look right. It's tape, and it just looks too white.

71 GTX Body Side Stripe
Have a question regarding 1971 GTXs. On the lower body pinstripe that follows the body line. Is the stripe just regular tape, or is it reflective tape? It's been so long now since I've seen an original '71 GTX. I can't remember, and a friend of mine asked me which one it is. I figured there are memb...

Re: Last BIG works on my "PRO RUNNER"...
Gionni, your car is more than just a car. It's a rolling piece of art work. "Well done" doesn't even begin to describe it. Do you do this for a living? If not, you should!

Re: My car in MCG
Unfortunately they all seem to do that in their articles. The truth is just to boring I guess. Hot Rod magazine did the same thing when they featured my Daytona in the Sept '78 issue. To read the article you'd think I was swimming rivers, and jumping fences to find the car. It sat in front of his ga...
