Re: 4 vents on gas tank.
Can I chime in here and ask a dumb question. I have noticed that with the warmer weather, I sometimes hear a loud popping noise that sounds like it is coming from the left rear, maybe the vapor separator. It will sometimes make the noise while driving or just sitting in the garage. If I let the pres...

Re: Radiator Fan Shroud
About that shroud on E-bay. The post states that it is for a big block and the mounting holes measure 12 1/4`inches x 26 inches apart. I just measured two shrouds from 318 cars and got the same measurements. Both shrouds are from air conditioned cars. I was wondering if they were inter-changeable wi...

Re: Gas Prices
I'm on my camping trip from Florida to Alaska, dodging tornados, floods and snow detours. I feel sorry for you filling up your tank. I don't want to tell you what I spent so far, but I was real happy to spend $3.49/gal yesterday in Wyoming.

Re: Dash Cap Help!!
I had the same problem with my cap. I used a Dremel with a metal cutting bit in the corners of the cap where it didn't fit and just took my time. The insert fits real well now. The top portion where the metal screen for the speaker goes apparently needs some more work, as it is causing the cap to bi...

Re: Gas Prices
In about ten days, I am leaving with my camper from Florida to go (hopefully) to Alaska. It is something that I had planned to do for a long time. It would have been cheaper two years ago. Then again, two years from now this year may seem cheap. I am hoping to get back home before a big hurricane ge...

Re: Gas Prices
Interesting. Here we are again with high prices at the pump. What makes it worse is the junk they are putting in the fuel. I have watched my gas mileage in my truck closely for years. I have noticed that while towing, using 10% ethanol, my mileage drops by about 10%. I wondered what kind of gas was ...

I think you are looking at the sky. The header panel is a slightly different angle. So is the raised portion of the hood.

Re: Engine paint colour
Hey guys, just wondering. I was looking at the 71 sales brochure in the image gallery and could not find a 340 engine option listed. Were 340s special order or what?

Re: Windsheild
I was so careful taking my windshield out because I thought it would be expensive to replace. I stored it for over a year with the intention of reinstalling it myself, but one corner of it was clouded. I called a local glass company and they came to my house and installed a new windshield for $170. ...

Nest Newbie ,motor question
I have a 71 Satellite that I purchased off the showroom floor as the 72s were arriving at the dealership. I put almost 250,000 miles on the car and then put it in the garage about 18 to 20 years ago. I started work on it about 2 years ago with the intention of making a roadrunner clone with a 383 or...
