I like the "badgeless" idea myself. In the end, do what you want. I stripped my Sebring of all the emblems and then had a custom stripe made with Sebring instead of Roadrunner. The only other emblem is the Plymouth circle on the header panel. Then again I strayed on the color and wing as well. Ultim...

To Clone or Not to Clone

Hi, Don't want to hijack the thread here, so I'll be brief. Here is another pic. The color scheme is factory original, except the car was given a quick makeover in the 80s. The white used was too white and the Silver Grey too grey. The orignal was Ermine White w/ Argent Silver cutouts / white vinyl ...

To Clone or Not to Clone

Just to be clear, I intend on keeping the original GY8 Gold Leaf paint. It's a great color for the 71-72 B Body shape! Besides, I'm a big believer in doing the original paint unless the car is a total frame up job. I don't think it's very cool to see another color in the trunk or door sills. I can'...

To Clone or Not To Clone

Hi, Haven't posted for a long time. This is a subject I have thought about a lot. It is a difficult choice, to clone or not. 1 am sure you wil come to the correct decision re. what to do for your Sat. I have an original '72 SSP 400-4BBL which has been in my in-laws garage for years (I work overseas ...

14 x 6 Rallyes

Hi, Quick question. I put Magnum 500s (15 x 7) on my '72 Satellite Sebring Plus (looks great) and have the 14 x 6 Rallyes (original wheels the car came with) stacked in the garage. My storage benefactor (father-in-law) says they have to go as he needs the space. They are Argent Silver, have the corr...

Re: SSP

Yea, it really isn't in bad shape at all. There are a few parts on it that I know are going to find thier way on the Road Runner and be replaced later. ;) I'm planning on giving it a day or two of TLC and just driving it while I finish the Road Runner. It will be nice to have a 71 I can drive again...

No problems, Jared, and good luck with your RR. I am sure you will get what you want. Keep the local Clubs in mind, though and be prepared to walk away. Speaking of long-term projects (Year 12 here), here are some pics of my Satellite. These were taken in 2002, next year sees a whole lot more work g...

72 Sat to 72 RR

Hi, Perhaps you could consider this. You say that in 3 years you should be in a position to get a Plymouth B-body and that you want a Road Runner and don't want to settle for a Satellite...OK. First off, how is your budget? You say that it would be very expensive to buy a '72 Road Runner with a soli...

Hi, I have a solid 98% rust free numbers matching '72 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 400-4BBL w/ Slapstik, which I have owned since 1991. It is a solid Southern car that I picked up in TN and drove coast to coast twice and then drove while at school in Phoenix, AZ. The car was then driven back to T...
