Re: 15/16/17" ?

Thanks Ian! I wanted a the look of true all-Mopar Road Wheels but with a polished ring. Magnums look great but this is a bit different and not seen nearly as often. http://www.specialtywheel.com/product-showcase/mopar/chrysler-road-wheel.html Hi 71Satellite98661, Thanks very much for clarifying. Re: 15/16/17" ?

I think 15s look great with the right tire. Pictured here are 15x7 with G60-15 tires. I plan on a set of restored 15x10" slots w/ 295/50/15 rears and thinking of 245/60/15 fronts on 15x7s or 8s. Hi 71Satellite98661, Are they Magnum 500s with chrome trim rings installed? They look great and are the ...

Re: 15/16/17" ?

Hi, I was always going to go with Magnum 500s as my ideal wheels. My '72 SSP came with original equipment 14 in. Rallyes like your car (which, to be honest, I never liked - I thought they were too small for the body). I bought my car 20 years ago for $2800 - a lot at the time, but it is / was a full...

Re: 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 400-4BBL

Hi, Thanks for all the great feedback. I will probably go ahead and finish it out with the original factory paint. In the meantime, I have had the new interior installed - all new seat covers, carpet vinyl, door cards etc. Very pleased with the results. As you can see the old door plastic panel was ...

Re: WIW 71 GTX Triple Green

Looks like that was a nice car at some time - a shame it has been allowed to deteriorate to that condition. That flame paint job is horrendous. These B body Plymouths have such a cool body shape, but I guess most people love it or hate it, which is why so many '71~72 RR / Satellites / GTXs are still...

Re: 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 400-4BBL

Thanks for the pics and feedback. I will probably go ahead and give it a factory-new SSP paint job (w/ Argent Silver) to see how it looks all shiny. If I still don't like it will rethink. Either way will post pics.

Re: 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 400-4BBL

Thanks,

That's kind of what I was thinking about. The white can make the car look kind of big, I think.

1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus 400-4BBL

Hi, I am finishing up the restoration of my '72 SSP after many years. I have owned the car for over 20 years - I went to college, drove coast to coast (twice - 2nd time w/ my 8 mth pregnant wife) and spent bits and pieces when I could, deferring the major work due to other commitments. That baby is ...

Re: 1972 SSP 400-4BBL Progress

Thanks - will post pics of the new interior when available w/ white doorskins / buckets / plastic panels / kick panels etc. I also included this update because someone was asking about dashcaps. My car has a dashcap and it looks pretty good IMO. I am away working at the moment, so have not seen the ...

Re: 1972 SSP 400-4BBL Progress

Progress is still slow, but better some than none. Interior has been completed (new buckets / door panels etc.). here are some pics of the roof lining for those interested. Re: Rims sizes / magnum 500

Hi,

Have a look at this thread, this might help you out.

http://www.roadrunnernest.com/forum/vie ... f=2&t=5128

There are lots of suppliers of Magnum 500s. I got mine about 6 years ago from Wheel Vintiques (IIRC).

Good luck.

Magnum Wheel Size

Hi, What is the best Magnum 500 wheel size / tire size for these B bodies? I know this is personal preference, but the white 'B' bodies can tend to look rather 'big' and this can makes the wheels look small. Tire size proportions also have a big visual impact. I have to buy new tires (the current ti...

Re: New Project

Hi Jagman,

How about incorporating your Plum Crazy plans in this SSP paint scheme? It would sure stand out.
