It's all about sharing the knowledge...

Of course, through the entire runroof install, I'm going to take lots of pictures and such, but email me, or catch me online sometime, and we can talk about maybe getting you together with the car at some point before the headliner goes in.

10/01/2003 - No More 4 Door! The new quarter goes on

I no longer own a car with a wrecked passenger quarter panel! :D http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-11-01/001.jpg http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-11-01/002.jpg Billy felt it was best to replace a good section of the rocker on this side as well, just to make sure it's all straight ...

9/7/2003 - Not for the faint at heart! Body work progress

The last shot of the old quarter on the car. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-09-07/2003-09-07%20012.jpg Well, I knew the passenger quarter panel was going to have to come off, but I STILL wasn't prepared to see my car without it. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-09-07/001...

7/24/2003 - The big move

The time has come, the Road Runner herself is off to the body shop. This is the last time she'll be at home and red at the same time! :D http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-07-24/001.jpg http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-07-24/002.jpg http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-07-24/...

7/9/2003 - Engine bay ready to go, and another sunroof!

Engine bay is finally empty of all the stuff on the firewall and the like. A couple of detail pictures of the holes cut in the firewall from where somebody had installed aftermarket A/C in the car sometime in the past. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-07-09/001.jpg http://www.roadrunnernes...

5/4/2003 - Been a while, but finally progress again

Out comes the 383. It's going to get some general maintenance, and a "rattle can rebuild" and back in it will go. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-05-04/DSCF0001.JPG http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-05-04/DSCF0002.JPG http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-05-04/DSCF0003.JPG ...

1/30/2003 - Cold outside, so let's do some inside work.

Lots of time in the seats already, and they aren't done yet. The key to getting them to come out well is remembering it's not a race, and taking your time. Even "in progress" I can tell they are going to look great! http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-01-30/DSCF0001.JPG http://www.roadrunnern...

12/18/2003 - Some parts come home

One of the Air Grabber setups I picked up a couple months ago I wound up trading for an 18spline 4spd. With my plans to eventually put a Hemi in the bird, I'm going to need the Hemi 4spd to go with it. I'll just run it behind the 383 for now, but it will be in and ready to go when I can eventually a...

12/17/2002 - An early Christmas gift for her - a sunroof!

The opportunity presented itself for me to finally aquire one of my favorite options. The factory power sunroof! It's going to be a lot of work to put it in, but with as much body work as the car needs (i.e. that quarter panel) what's a bit more? Billy (my body guy) has been doing custom vans for ye...

11/24/2003 - More bodywork progress

Fenders, header panel and front valance. The driver's fender was actually cut off going down the wheel lip along the dog leg, so Billy (my body guy) spliced in a piece from another junk fender I had. He is really good at this stuff! http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2002-11-24/DSCF0003.JPG http:...

11/23/2002 - Bodywork in progress!

Passenger fender had a small area in the dogleg that needed some rust repair. About a 1" x 4" patch is all.

You can see the other fender, and the header panel in the background at the body guy's shop.

11/18/2002 - The new seat covers are here!!!

Thanks to Legendary Interiors, I have my new, slightly custom seat covers for the car. Now comes the all the work of installing them!

Looks like the cat (Dakota) approves of them too!

11/09/2002 - Some really visible progress.

Fenders and the driver door come off for a trip to the body guy's place. He's going to work on some of the pieces that we can move separately before we move the body itself. Will give him more room to work in his shop, as well as get some of the body work started while I finish up the teardown on th...

9/20/2002 - Side Glass and the Heater Core

Still making progress in small chunks towards the teardown on the car. Side glass is carefully removed. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2002-09-20/DSCF0001.JPG http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2002-09-20/DSCF0002.JPG And out comes the heater core. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/200...
