11/29/2003 - Driver Quarter Work

Here are some shots of the driver's quarter panel repair work. It was simply easier to cut out the damaged area (old wreck), and put in a patch panel from a quarter panel I picked up a while back. http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-11-29/001.jpg http://www.roadrunnernest.com/Project/2003-11-...

Too much time at the office has taken it's toll...

Hi! Well, spending way too much time in the office of late has taken it's toll on the progress of the Road Runner. She's been sitting pretty much as the last pictures show for the last month or so. The good news is that over the weekend we finally did make some progress, and I'll be adding an update...

Would be cool, and might happen, but probably not.

Yea, it would be cool to see those reproduced, but the challenge is, it's not just one part but 5 different ones, each with uniquie tooling. You'd have the center, both headlight bezels, the screen, and the "Road Runner" emblem. So that's 5 sets of tooling and starup costs. Plus, in order to make th...

Vendor reports?

Thanks for the heads up Eric! Pablo has an interesting idea, I could set up a forum on here for vendor feedback, both good and bad, for both eBay and non-eBay transactions. However, I'd need somebody willing to help moderate that kind of fourm so that it stays simply a factual report and not trail o...

Laysons

Eric, Great news on the WOM's Be sure to let us know how they are when they arrive. I handled the pre-production set at Carlisle this year, and they looked great, but didn't have any way to see what the fit would be like. Oh, and I did get your email, just been so busy with the holidays and everythi...

Driveshaft

I'm not 100% sure. Are you looking for a "correct" replacement or a serviceable one? Length wise, any 2 door/smallblock/727/8.75 rear B-body should give you the same length. 904 cars might as well, but I'm not sure.

Bow Count

Eric, Not 100% sure, but I can tell you mine had a 6 bow. I even have a brand new headliner from Legendary (6 bow), but I'm not going to be using it because I need a bit different headliner with the sunroof. Anyway, I'd guess yours should have a 6 bow. If you need a complete set of bows, I'm pretty ...

Chrome handle

I'll keep you posted Eric. I guess for now I'll put my black handle in, and continue the search for a chrome one.

Oh, and I still haven't forgiven you for going out and finding an EARLIER Bahama Yellow Road Runner than mine. ;)

Housing Color

I noticed the housing color difference. My plan for the ones in the trunk is to take my one NOS assembly to Sherwin Williams and have the housing color matched. Then just paint the housings the right color. That should help quite a bit, and really, some light in the trunk isn't an all bad thing. ;) ...

Laysons

Brian, I have a complete set of marker lights from Laysons for my Road Runner. I bought the lenses and housings together. I picked them up at Carlisle this year, and took my time and dug though all the ones they had with them to get the best set of 4. There were some variations, but off the top of m...
