Re: Curious Yellow Runner

Hope someone else with an Air grabber can post a picture to see if they made a running change to the hoods at some point.
I'll see if I can locate some more pictures to narrow this down some.

Re: Curious Yellow Runner

I wonder why they would do that, it wouldn't add anything to the strength I would guess.
I thought maybe mine was that way because of the early build and a new body style for the year. Not all the bugs worked out yet. :?

Re: bumper jack

Could you post a picture of the part number on yours please, I'd like to see if yours has the numbers above the part number like the one in my pictures.
Thanks

Re: bumper jack

That's the color I have seen mostly around the net also.
Wonder what is the story on the one I posted? It appears to not have been repainted but I can't be sure until I have it here to check out in person.

So I guess I'm no help on this one for the paint code ,sorry.

Re: Curious Yellow Runner

We started transfering the holes tonight to the new hood. Would like to thank Scott for staying and helping on this tonight! Here is the pattern we are using to get all this done. About half way finished if all go's well done by week-end. Dave http://i640.photobucket.com/albums/uu121/huffy70/1971%20...

Re: Curious Yellow Runner

After cleaning my original hood I found it is beyond repair. I did locate a Satellite hood that is going to be a doner hood replacement for my air grabber. While comparing the two hoods side by side I found an odd thing on my hood, the area where your hand go's in to open is not punched out. A...

Re: bumper jack

I just rechecked the part number in the parts book against Galens book and that appears to be the correct hook, not sure yet on the color.

Re: bumper jack

Here are three pictures of the jack hook from a 71 Road runner, from the age of the paint I think it is original. See what you think. Re: bumper jack

I have one I'll see if I can get you a color.
I will post a picture and let's see if anyone can confirm it is the correct color first.
The color is odd looking to me ,but it is aged enough for me to believe it has not been painted.

Re: What to offer for an Airgrabber hood?

Also the hood it's self is not that valuable as with the kit anyone can make a hood from a Sat hood.
With out the door and hinge some one would have to piece together all the rest any way.
Some times buying this type of parts from a friend can cause more problems than it's worth.

Re: What to offer for an Airgrabber hood?

You can buy a complete kit minus the Sattlite hood for $1350.00 So depending what condition the parts are in you should be able to negotiate a price from there.
You could also check ads for what each piece is selling for also.

Re: Curious Yellow Runner 2

Would like to here how the EFI system works out when you get it done. Sounds interesting.
Good luck on the rest also.
Maybe we can get the two cars together at a show sometime.

Re: Hi

Post them to a picture hosting site like Photobucket and then copy a link of the picture to your post.
That way the picture will be on the site as long as you have it linked.
Photobucket is free unless you want the Pro, unlimited hosting.

Re: Curious Yellow Runner

Now into the part I like the least when doing a car, the grinding and pit filling on the underside. Still a little to do but through the worst of it. Should be ready to prime later this week.
