Next - I installed some magnets in the lifter valley.
8 magnets in total.
My engine does this with all the roundy round engines he builds - makes them live longer.

Finally got some time to put some primer on the 4 speed. Then ruffed it up with some scotchbrite and sprayed some cast paint. I'll do a second coat tomorrow.
