Re: Painting my 72 rr. Can't find the code

Its just a matter of finding a paint shop that has the color codes for Chrysler vehicles. Do some calling around to see if anyone has the paint book for Chrysler colors. We have a local chain here called Sturdevants, and they had the book - and whipped up a rattle can for me to test the color. Here ...

Re: Introducing myself and my car

Sorry Jeff, It is highly unlikely that your 72 Runner came with a 71 grill. I think that the original owner fibbed a little to the second owner, or the second owner was telling you a little story. Regardless, these cars look good with either grill. The 72 grill does look really good, but they are a ...

Re: Introducing myself and my car

Cool! Another GY8 car on the nest! Are you going to go back to the original color with your Runner? Do you plan on making any modifications, or are you going to keep it fairly stock? Have fun with your ride! Scott.

Hey Jeff,
Great looking car you got there. The 440 on the order sheet is most likely a typo. Welcome to the Nest!
Scott.

I am not sure what the white X was, maybe a mark for "get rid of this one". Got this car from a farmer in eastern South Dakota. It had been sitting in his field, along with a number of other vehicles, for better than 15 years. The county was "encouraging" him to clean up some of his vehicles.

Yes, use photobucket or some other picture hosting site. Then use an image link in your text on this site. Works pretty slick. Scott.

Re: Greetings from the UK

Welcome to the Nest Howard. Sounds like you have a great car to enjoy and drive. It should grab plenty of attention over on the island. I have been working on my family tree, and my great grandfather was born in London, g2 grandfather born in Tring, and g3 grandfather was born in the Birmingham area...

When I view the thread, the pictures are visible to me. Can another Nester verify whether the pictures are posting correctly or not? Thanks! Scott.

Re: My car in MCG

Just picked up my copy on my way into work tonight. Great looking car and great story on your search for a car to restore. You definitely found a sweet car with an interesting history. My GY8 SSP has the exact same interior P6T7 GT8, even the buddy seat. How do you like the interior color? I am tryi...

How do you like the rust encapsulator so far? The Eastwood Rust Encapsulator has worked great so far. I comes in spray can, quart, or gallon sizes. When it comes in the quart or gallon, it is a little thick so that you have the option to brush it on. You can thin it to run through a paint gun, whic...
