Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner

The welds might be factory. You have to remember the factory wouldn't spend a large amount of time for something like this. "Just get the part out the door" kind of mentality. My K looks the same, least did before I stiffened it up I hope your K-member looks better than this. August 1st (1).jpg Loo...

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner

Hope you plan on redoing the rest of the front suspension. You should take everything apart glass bead it paint it with all new suspension parts. One thing i hate to see is a car that looks good on the outside but they forget to do the underside. I agree. I can't seem to "fit" a picture to my post....

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner

So now I've put on some all metal to clean up the welds and am sanding the all metal down. July 16 (1).jpg Then give it a final coat of primer to finish it off. July 16 (2).jpg I did find one spot I have to go over, it's close to the firewall - I'll have to sand it a little more and re-primer. July...

Re: Help

If he posted to some of the other mopar forums, he probably got a shellacking and didn't bother to come back here. Either that or he hasn't gone on there yet. Maybe trying to "test the waters"? I haven't seen the such on other forums lately. This kind of thing burns me because there are so ...

Re: Air canister for AC vents door lock

Yes, the heater is cable controlled. I cannot find the service manual you are referencing. I found body, accessory, wiring manuals and I they do not have the info you talked about on page 24but it does not show the wiring for the AC for under the hood or under the dash. Also, I know I am being gree...

Re: Air canister for AC vents door lock

"A/C wiring"? Are you looking for the electrical wiring for it or actual pictures, what? If you download the manuals from that site, its in chapter 24 (?) and or "accessories". Go to the thread you posted. I can see where mine are at but it will be the same as the manuals Do you have the holes on th...

Download for free body and service manual.

If you don't have holes for the can, the car didn't have it. If your car has A/C, then more than likely it had a cable going to the water valve which would be on the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Re: Side mirror install

You want to know how they're installed and or positioned in the door? The cable goes forward, from the outside, to the front of the door, back around and to the inside of the door(where your knee would be). They are held in by 2 or 3 plastic clips that snaps into holes in the door. Do you have the m...

Re: frame dimensions

Send me a Private Mail here including your personal email address and I'll send you the body and frame alignment section. It's only 885 kB. The factory service manuals in PDF can be found at reasonable prices, BUT, the quality of photos vs. how they appear in the original printed manuals leaves a b...

Thanks Scott. I was referring to a pilot car in my response and wasn't sure about the sequence thing but you triggered my memory. I must be getting old :(

Re: "Show Car" on fender tag.

Keep all of those pictures showing documentation, as you probably know. Have pictures of the motor, Etc? Have you figured out if it is original motor? I could be wrong but if it is a "Show car", it might not have a broadcast sheet. I'm not doubting that it's not a show car, just to be clear. I think...

Re: "Show Car" on fender tag.

Could be one of those promotional cars that the factory used to just "show" the car at dealerships and or maybe commercials? I'd say "rare" indeed too. Got more pictures of it?
