Re: door hinge rebuild
I am going the route that 72GY9Runner has suggested. Got a hold of a 73 Satty that was rusted to pieces on the bottom side, so got lots of good parts from it. I compared the hinge sets and they are nearly identical. I will post back when I install them and let everyone know how they worked.

Not a great picture, but I think the old school cop wheels are going to look great on my car.

Re: Pics of your engines
Decisions, decisions! If I had the same dilemma, I would slightly enhance the numbers matching engine and put it back in the car. I would then find another car that either is non-matching or missing the drive train altogether, and make it like I want it. I find it hard to muck with a numbers matchin...

Re: Fender tag Decode
I know this is an old post but for anyone who is decoding tags it might be helpful. I think the C16 that he is talking about is the build date - Dec 16th. He posted his tag info and the C16 is in the spot for the build date and not in the option code section.

Which RR Nest members have the earliest car birthdays 71-74?
I ran across an old post that mentions Dave's RR has a 9/23/70 birthday, and Eric's RR has a 8/31/70 birthday. I am going to one up them with my SSP's born on date of 8/26/70. Is there a RR Nest member that has an earlier birthday on their 1971 B-body? I bet there is. Happy hunting. Just expanded to...

Those bucket seat foams on eBay from PG Classic look to be aweful close. I will have to pull out my old foams to take a closer look.

Re: Bucket seat interchangeability
Good question. My bucket seat foams for my 71 ssp are not in great shape. Has anyone come across reproduction foam for these seats? Thanks.

Re: 71 Plymouth Roadrunner Question
I agree with most everyone - about $1500-2000, but only worth it if you can do a majority of the work yourself or have a lot of buddy help. If you farm out the work to professional, you could easily be upside down in it if you are not careful. If you want to do a lot of the restoration and work your...

Re: Sunroof, no sunroof, vinyl top, or not...
I parted out a 73 Satellite Sebring Plus a couple years back. It had a vinyl top with sunroof. Sorry to say the sunroof parts sold quickly. If you decide to put a vinyl roof back on, I have the stainless trim that goes around the edges of the vinyl. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Re: Concourse Restoration
Another important consideration is: What do you want to do with your car when it is done. If you are content with trailering it around to most shows, then this type of restoration should garner you some trophies, cash and prizes. If you want to drive and enjoy your ride, then this type of restoratio...

Re: 71GTX Rocker/railings
Yea, that is a tough order to fill. Considering that they made less than 3000 '71 GTX's, and only a fraction of those still exist, it will be next to never before anyone reproduces them. My Sebring Plus has the plain mouldings. They are rough, and I have almost thrown them away twice, but I keep hol...

Re: Rare 69 XP Hemi Charger on Chop Cut Rebuild
Third episode in the books and wow what a rusty car. Fortunately AMD has just about every panel you need for a 69 charger. The crew had to pull a little bit of sub structure off a collision charger to get the job done, plus several little patch panels here and there. The car basically has new AMD sh...

Re: Look what we found in a parking garage
Do I see TWO fender tags on that car? Coooooooool! 8) Careful with the purchase. Does the landlord actually have the title and is it his to actually sell? Had a friend buy a car off of a farm from a kid with no title. Come to find out the kid didnt have his dads permission to sell the car, and dad h...

Re: Rare 69 XP Hemi Charger on Chop Cut Rebuild
There is a thread on this car over on the moparts board. One of the responders mentioned a fourth possible XP car. XP29J9B298249. Reference for this car is on the Mopar Collectors Guide published Canada Hemi List. If you cant follow the rebuild on Chop Cut Rebuild, Mopar Enthusiast Magazine has an a...
