Re: '71 Color Suggestions for Rear Axle, Trans, Gas Tank, et
You could dress up the engine by using a chrome timing chain cover and something other than the stamped steel valve covers. The cast aluminum mickey thompson or mopar performance covers look good. You could paint them same as the engine color with the brushed fins. Painting the undercarriage parts s...

X2 There are a few places that will update the factory tacks to solid state electronics and new looking gauge faces. Believe less then a 1/4 of what you hear on ebay!

Re: 22 to 26 radiator
You have to cut the old rad support plate off and weld on a different one. If you don't want to spend the money on new sheet metal you can cut a strip out of the old one and weld it to fit the 26" rad.

Do your homework before buying anything. I like Indy heads but the Edelbrocks also have good #'s. Any details on how the motor is going to be built?

Re: Anyone here used Auto Metal Direct bumpers?
I have not used or seen them. But from what i have seen over the years the replated bumpers(depending on who does it!) have a better chrome finish than a "oem"/reproduction or nos piece. A nos piece for example is mass produced so the quality is good but not like a quality replated one. The imperfec...

Re: Strobe Stripe Question
Need to look at your fender tag/build sheet. The stripe over the roof is V8X (X meaning black). It will be on line #3 last one on the right under "V stripe" on the build sheet.

Don't know if any of you ever attended the mopars @ Englishtown but i have seen the same thing happen. It grew from a hand full of cars to a real event not to miss. At one point there was a line of Daytona's and superbirds in excess of 15-20. Now you are lucky to see two. It was also moved from it's...

I attended the nats in 1990. Brice road was awesome!!! I also heard they moved the cruise. They're not going to move the late night "unofficial" burn out contests at the hotel parking lots. I will get back there again someday!

Re: Inherited 1972 Roadrunner/GTX 440
What are your plans for the car? Are you wanting to restore it to factory original or a good street driver on the weekends? As for the body i don't think it will take to much to repair the rust issues. Use a epoxy primer on all bare metal. It's a superior product to conventional primers. What head c...
