Re: gas tank vent tubes
okay....took a closer look. the 4 hoses go up into the rear of the drivers rear wheelwell to some kind of block (canister?), then has a 5th hose come out and connect to a hard line. where does this line go to would be my next question i guess, since i don't have any lines that go to the VC or breath...

gas tank vent tubes
what are the 4 vents (?) for on the driver's side of the tank? i do not have a charcoal canister under hood, no return line that i can find... i have one line that runs up to the engine compartment, turns into hose, runs into fuel pump, out into filter, then up to carb. when i replaced the tank year...

Re: An update on Satty.
i can't really see what the problem is from the pictures. almost looks like the assembly isn't all tight together at the top where valve, spring, retainer come together???? perhaps use a spring compressor (oreilly's rents them out i believe if you don't have one and take a bad one apart see if somet...

Re: Anyone have a yellow engine?
purple???????
i did mine blue instead of orange like i probably should've...the blue still looks good, but it's duller than when first sprayed and i can never manage to keep the underhood area very clean, since the car rarely gets driven, it's mainly just dusty i think

i don't recall what the top of my original tank looked like, but the bottom and sides were completely sprayed with undercoating like the rest of the car

Re: Yay for this forum!
it is very true...i learned my lesson on the mustang forums when i used to frequent there....didn't last long there. plus, i'd rather deal with mopars than anything else. forum has been a little dead lately - i'm attributing it to guys not having the funds to work on their cars. i know i'd really li...

Re: kids, don't let your parents drive your car...
they offered, but it wasn't what i was expecting...they wanted me to continue making my monthly payments PLUS pay $3K and they'd give me the 8K to get it fixed wherever i felt like...paying an additional 3 grand on an already 24K loan doesn't make any sense.

Re: kids, don't let your parents drive your car...
she was fine...airbags didn't deploy even. the worst part is all the money i had invested in the car which i now have nothing to show for. i just barely broke even on it all, so in the end it's probably better i don't have to keep making payments every month on it, but i would've gladly taken it bac...

i've been pretty angry the last few weeks, but i'm calmed down a bit and thought i'd share... my mom's car was getting the trans replaced, i was going out of town for the week for work. so, i let her use my mustang for the week....2nd day she had it, totaled it. personally, i don't think it should'v...

Re: Elastomeric Bumpers
you can buy the reproduced rubber eyebrows, but they are expensive. or, you can paint your bumpers. that's what a lot of people do - most likely since re-chroming is so expensive.

idk i had a 78 dodge truck and thought about comparing the two, but didn't. however, i don't think they're even close to the car panels, just similar from a distance

Re: Anyone running these cams?
idk, i thought about a voodoo cam, but they recommend a higher stall converter, which was not on my agenda, so i went with the XE268. i like it - sounds like a quiet freight train rumblin along. mine's a 440 ~9:1, 69 HP intake, 650 DP, hedman headers, 2.5" summit exhaust not the best video, for soun...

fastest battery pulls ever
i don't know if anyone else pulls their battery or not when storing/not driving their car, but these little guys are great. i got them a year or so ago and just got around to posting. especially nice when working on the car to save your cable ends from stretching out and getting all crappy (step 1: ...
