Re: Machine exhaust tips

Engine displacement and mods to it determine exhaust size. More info on that would be helpful.

Re: Parts and Detailed '72 Body Manual

You might want to have it put on a frame machine to see if the front end is twisted. To my knowledge no one makes sheet metal full front fenders yet.

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner

Hope you plan on redoing the rest of the front suspension. You should take everything apart glass bead it paint it with all new suspension parts. One thing i hate to see is a car that looks good on the outside but they forget to do the underside.

Re: Help

Did you look for the build sheet? The one in the back section of the seat is the most common but you can find them under the carpet, behind the glove box and even in the front seats.

Re: Who Uses What to Contain Rust?

Yes i was referring to the pressure blasters that eastwood and others sell. The media you use depends on it's use. You can also get an attachment to put on a pressure washer nozzle that adds sand(or other media) to remove paint/rust. Remove it completely is the best bet and use a good epoxy primer. ...

Re: Who Uses What to Contain Rust?

Before containing the rust try to eliminate it! Get a pressure blaster and blast the rust off to clean metal. There are basically two types of rust products, The ones that just cover it and the ones that neutralize it. The ones that neutralize/convert it is the better way. Just covering it is not st...

Re: Best Sheet Metal

Not yet. Look around for nos, 73 is more available than 71-2. I seen a set of nos 71's and the asking price was $1100 per side back before the repos came out. Contact Jack's and see if he can help you source them. I remember years ago he had a set at one of the swap meets he attends. http://www.jack...

Re: Best Sheet Metal

AMD, Problem is they don't make quarters for a 73. None of the others do either so depending on how bad they are your only option is to find nos or use the patch panels for the badly rusted out sections.
