body work
Hey! I have a section on my driver's side rear quarter that a previous owner scraped down the side of a garage. It's right on the ridge over the wheel well. My question is how do I go about straightening that out? I have very little body work experience, but I'm pretty good with my hands. I'm wonder...

Re: Mopar 4-speed
I have a 71 Nova so I've researched Chevy trannies a bit....From what I've heard the saginaws are junk. The Muncies came in 3 different models the strongest of which (M22) is really loud due to the way the gears are cut (I believe it's less helical to reduce side load on the case). I've rode in a co...

Re: Another New Member...
I like the new wheels a lot! What brand, size, and tire size are they? I'm gonna have to agree with the green. I love a black car, but Sassy Grass is a great color. My wife has a 74 Duster (that's halfway through being restored ) that's sassy grass. (i know that's not correct for 74, and neither is ...

Re: Who has the best fuel and break lines?
I had good luck with Classic Tube. I actually ordered my brake lines (stainless) from PST, but they are just a vendor for Classic Tube. When they made mine they didn't have a pattern for the front right line so the kit came without it. I sent them my old line and they bent me one for free. =) He was...

Re: 3 point shoulder Seatbelt
okay, so I'm not nuts, the '74 did have true 3-point belts? Anyone ever swap the '74 belts into a 71/72? I'm also curious about this. I'm going to have to buy new belts because I'm planning on changing my interior color. I know it wouldn't be "correct", but sure would be a lot easier since I plan t...

Re: Awsome photoshop's
Any more info on that convertible? Does anyone know if he built the top custom, or found a car close enough in dimensions to swap it over? Thanks!

Re: Awsome photoshop's
That's awesome! I was wondering what my car would look like as a convertible. I wonder if there's a car that's close enough in dimensions that you could swap the top from it onto a b-body?

Re: Rear Spring Re-Locator kits?
They make a kit to relocate the springs. I've never installed one, so I can't be of any help there, but here's a link to the kit.

http://www.driveshaftspecialist.com/PinionYoke/PinionYoke.html Note: A 7260 is 2 1/8 (2.125) in between the inner edges and a 7290 is 2 5/8 (2.622) in between the inner edges. I talked to one of my friends about the better center section and he said he prefers the 742 because the preload is set with...

Re: Hood Tach on a Roadrunner hood
So is there a template floating around showing exactly where one of these was mounted? I doubt I'll ever put one on my car, but having the info might be useful to someone on here.

I found out it is out of a 77 Fury. So it must be a 9 1/4.

Re: 8 3/4 or Dana 60?
Regarding "correctness", the Dana 60 only came behind four speed equipped 440 and Hemi cars. Another point to consider, passenger car Dana 60s are more expensive to obtain due to their relative rareness, but if you've already got one in your possession, it's a moot point. all 67- 72 440 4bbl 4 spee...

Re: 8 3/4 or Dana 60?
Thanks for all the info! I'll have to ask him again what that Dana came out of. I think he said it was out of a 77 Monaco cop car. If that's the case, and if I've done my research correctly, the spring perches will line up, but flange to flange the width is 1.4" wider. I'm thinking the 8 3/4 seems l...

Re: Original Style vs. Polyurethane Front End
This is the kit I went with...but it's been in the box since '97 or so. I also bought the upgraded 11/16th tie-rods. sadly, it'll be a little while before I get the kit installed on my car. I just hope the kit is still good after being on a shelf in the shed for over 12 years. I should've go...
