Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
Unfortunately no build sheet to be found. I have not looked up above the glove box yet. That would be awesome if there was one there. Scott.

Re: Satellite Sebring Plus emblem question
Thanks Eric,
If that is the case, then I have enough Plus emblems to do both my cars!
Scott.

Re: IDENTIFY
If you save or open the pic in a new window, you can see the conventional front bumper sticking out on the side. Looks like a customized 73 or 74 to me. Could be a 71 with a 73/74 front clip also - that would explain the claim of it being a 71. Looking again, the 71/72 raised body line is not there....

Satellite Sebring Plus emblem question
My GY8 Sebring Plus had Plus emblems on the quarters, but just had the "Sebring" emblem on the trunk lid. Since the car had a very sorted past, I just figured that the correct emblem didn't get back on the car after the body work was completed. Well, the GB7 Sebring Plus I just acquired has the same...

Here are a few more pics for those that like the dirty details. https://i.imgur.com/kfeb4kD.jpg Its a bucket seat center console car. Exterior color is GB7 Evening blue metallic with the B5 blue interior. It came with a white canopy vinyl roof and white longitudinal stripes. Also has the A01 light p...

1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard
Just wanted to share a success story with everyone. I have been out to this salvage yard several times in the past to get misc parts for my current 71ssp project. I knew there was a sunroof car out there, but it was petty much a shell, belly in the mud with no suspension. The other day, I was readin...

Re: 1972 Rear Valance with Cutouts - Real or Modified?
Thanks for the replies everyone. Now that I have my SSP stripped down to the shell, I have noticed all sorts of numbers stamped in various panels and brackets. I am guessing these are internal factory numbers for assembly purposes, and not actual part numbers. Just a guess.
Scott.

1972 Rear Valance with Cutouts - Real or Modified?
Just wondering how you tell a real deal 1972 rear valance with cut-outs from one that someone just modified. Do the real cutouts have a lip on them or something? Is there a part stamp somewhere on the valance? Thanks for the help! Scott. http://i1241.photobucket.com/albums/gg520/sdweatherman/72Valan...

Re: fendertag options
If the fender tag doesnt show up - you have a blank slate. Find the list of options for your car and order up your favorites! Make it like you want it. Good luck with whatever you decide! Scott.

Re: fendertag options
Unless you can come up with a broadcast sheet or original purchase paperwork, I think you are out of luck. Keep searching and try to contact the previous owners to see if they have any original paperwork. Double check with the guy you purchased it from. A lot of times when a car is stripped down, th...

Larry,
I really really wanted to get over there and see your car, but couldn't get my schedule arranged to do it. Hope you have a fun time with the show! Good luck.

Re: how to tell what it is?
Look on both sides of the engine block. One side will have the casting number on it, a seven digit number - sometimes with some additional numbers. The other side will have a date on it. That should be a good start on figuring out what engine you have in there. http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_i...

Looking great Doug! Gunna be a super driver. You probably will feel a little more relaxed driving this one around. Is it a Sebring or Sebring Plus? Scott.
