Re: 71 SSP Charging system
Then, connect the alt output to the battery positive, be sure to use at least 12ga wire. Careful about shorts if not using a fusible link. Power up the blue wire in the engine harness, plug in the regulator, be sure reg is grounded to the motor. Charging system will work. Careful about disconnecting...

Re: 71 SSP Charging system
The dash harness can be temporarily bypassed, connect the alternator output lead(Black-12ga) to the battery positive, provide +12V to the engine harness ignition run circuit, dark blue wire with a trace. If needed, providing +12V to the brown wire while cranking will by-pass the ballast resistor, as...

Re: A little more progress on project #2
Made some progress on the daily driver project over this past winter-spring. Now that the nest is back up and have completed moving all my past pictures away from Photobucket (bastards) and on to one of my servers, time to update. Should anyone runs across a past post of mine with no pictures showin...

"ACM-6056 Hemi style high performance(2.50"I.D. inlet and 2.25" I.D. outlet-Replaces ACM-55 for a more aggressive exhaust tone)", Was not made aware of different levels of Hemi mufflers currently available. Rod, I meant that last post to go to your exhaust question thread BTW. When I get everything adjusted the way I want I’ll post up some pictures. Will have a 3’’ system surplus should there be any interest out there.

Re: 1972 Road Runner/GTX restoration
I just replaced my 3” TTI exhaust system with a 2 ½” Accurate Exhaust H-pipe, hemi type mufflers, and resonators. Details to follow soon. For me, the 3” system was just too loud. So far the Accurate system fits very well, is very close to factory spec exhaust for these cars.

Re: Dash Pad Removal
Going to have to disagree, really not that tough, only way to seriously service the dash wiring is to pull the dash out as a unit. Pull the column out completely, remove the two column mount studs. Unbolt the bulkhead connector from the firewall, four fasteners across the top, leave the two lower bo...
