Not any time soon apparently. Their website no longer shows 71 GTX rocker moldings at all.

These might work. The description is thin, but the pic looks about right.

With a jigsaw and a piece of stiff plastic or wood, or even sheet metal about 1/8" thick, you could make one fairly easily.

Re: WIW....the dreaded question.. 71 SSP
These cars are very hard to price since the market is small and not many change hands often. I know of a no-rust survivor car with a beat-up interior that went for $12k in 2010. I thought that was way more than it was worth, and didn't buy it. Someone did, so maybe I was wrong. It was a 383 2 BBL or...

MORE 71 GTX Rocker Moldings - News Flash
I noticed today that Metro Parts (buymetroparts.com) in Georgia has listed rocker moldings as "Coming Soon". I called to find out how soon is soon. I was told "soon, no date available." Has anyone noticed this before? If so, has it been there a long time? Has anyone bought anything else from this ou...

Duh, don't know why I was looking for 1971 info for you. Brain dead.
Eric is right. Unfortunately, there is very little published info about restoring Plymouth b-bodies made after 71.

Re: Pic request for firewall
According to the restoration guide, wiper motors were all gloss black. Brake boosters gets sketchier. There were two different units made by Midland Ross, depending on brake drum sizes. Midland Ross units use a ring clamp to hold the two halves of the booster together. Bendix units have crimps aroun...

Re: Driver side mirror
Just for the record, I bought a driver's side remote control chromed mirror for a 72 e-body in 2011 from Year One. No complaints at all, except the grand price. Perfect finish, operates smoothly, and fit perfect. Might be the same mirror as b-body, not sure. A good chromer will be able to do a good ...

Re: Pic request for firewall
On second thought, scratch the restoration guide book - it's black and white and doesn't say much about paint colors. I have and e-body book that goes into great detail on this subject, and it's reasonable to assume the bees follow the same pattern. I'm attaching a pic of a survivor-car 71 SSP. This...

Re: Pic request for firewall
First off, it might be a good idea to find and buy a copy of a Road Runner Restoration Guide. I found one on Amazon for a very reasonable price not long ago. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=roadrunner+restoration Roseville Moparts in Michigan would...

Re: Driver side mirror
In general, chroming is an electro-plating process using chemical solutions in a vat, at elevated temperatures. However, if you are considering a local shop, take your mirrors to them and ask that same question. Chroming can be costly. Some shops only work with steel or brass and won't do pot-metal/...

Re: 71 GTX Rocker Moldings - Help
That would be fantastic - thanks.
I'm ready to buy the aluminum and cutters required and have discussed options with the machinist.
That winter storm just missed us and is burying those @$$holes in D.C.
Should be able to bring the car home soon and get cracking.

Re: 71 GTX Rocker Moldings - Help
Already had those pics. Casting aluminum is not a simple process. The capital investment needed can't be justified by the number of moldings that could be sold - the price would be sky high. Something close in shape can be relatively easily machined out of aircraft aluminum. In fact, I can get it do...

Re: Where do these pieces go?
Thanks - but - I'm not quite getting the perspective here. Wheelhouse? In front of or behind wheel? Are they splash guards or structural support?
Wondering why they weren't put back in by previous owner.

71 GTX Rocker Moldings - Help
I have the opportunity to get these made from billet aluminum. They won't be exact, but pretty close. I need a few measurements: overall length height depth (thickness) at the top rib depth (thickness) at the bottom rib If someone who has a 71 GTX with the moldings could get me these numbers, it wou...
