72 Road Runner
Hello, I was asked today about re-installing the gas tank on my 72 RR and if there is a pad, mat or rubber piece that goes between the gas tank and the underside of trunk floor? To keep the tank from creating a spark or something? I have not seen anything for the top of the tank, but I have seen rub...

Re: rear sway bar rebuild kits
dangina, I thought there would be a manufacturer out there that would make them. I used after market materials on the front standard sway bar. The other reason is I am trying to stay original as possible. She will hopefully be a beautiful cruiser when she is done. But, I will look at the aftermarket...

Re: door latch striker 72 road runner
WOW,
Thanks for the great discussion and fabulous pictures too. So mostly not painted is the way it appears? The picture of the "door jamb /rocker factory build quality" is amazing. I guess there were some issues.
Again Thanks,
Jeff

rear sway bar rebuild kits
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a rear sway bar rebuild kit for my 1972 RR? I want to keep the original appearance on the bushings doesn't have to be original material though.
Thanks,
Jeff

Re: metal tabs in trunk
Road Runner Nest is fantastic. What a great group of people to be associated with. I will use this information when I get the car painted. Weird they paint the bolts and not the mechanism but, paint the catch?? If you don't mind could you tell me the location of the little hold downs welded to the w...

Re: metal tabs in trunk
Eric, I was talking about the little metal tabs that are attached to the bottom edges of the driver side wheel well and the trunk extension that you have in your picture. But, you did enlighten me on the curved metal with the hole in it which was used for forming the wheel wells. Also, thank you rra...

metal tabs in trunk
Good Morning, I was looking on E-Bay and there was a 71 RR and in the trunk on the driver side wheel well there were what appeared to be tabs welded to the driver side wheel well and trunk floor. The tabs were probably 1 to 2 inches long and 3/8 inches wide and were being used to hold in place the t...
