Re: I'm stoked! Updated!

Bruce,

Not to mention, pulling it up there with the truck makes for a more comfortable ride for the wife and daughters which makes a much more comfortable trip for you too. ;)

Plus, with the truck, you've got room to haul home all the parts you buy. :)

Rules of the Road Here

Ok all, this forum is now open for everyone to post interesting things they find. Keep any commentary civil, as this is still in the "family friendly" area of the site!

Have fun!

Re: Be sitting down when you read this...

Some more work over the weekend. Got the necessary replacement slides for the door regulators (from Tom over at R/T Specialties) and installed them. Also called Fritz over at FPAP and had him send me a correct set of wing to stanchion brackets for the spoiler. So her original wing is back in place, ...

Re: Be sitting down when you read this...

Oh yea - no doubt yours will get to Carlisle before Project Blue Bird. If I can keep things moving that I have time and finances, I still have the goal of having her out for the 40th next year. Granted - it's very likely she'll be 383 powered. I highly doubt the $$$ will show up to allow the Hemi in...

Re: Be sitting down when you read this...

Oh man, that couldn't have been easy at all! It took me long enough to get my head around how the whole mechanics works when I had the right pieces, let alone trying to mock up something with different parts. My hat is off to you! I was fortunate enough to find a 72 Charger with a complete an...

Be sitting down when you read this...

After many, MANY months of financially induced hibernation, Project Blue Bird has actually stirred a bit. I took advantage of the perfect holiday weekend weather and spent some time in the shop. I decided to tackle getting the side glass and related assemblies back together. I knew it was going to b...

Re: Trim the same as the chargers?

I don't think it's the same. The quarter window and c-pillar shape on the Chargers is pretty different.

Re: Fender Tag Question....

There's nothing illegal about having an obviously non-original tag made up for a car. Heck, the tags (yes, 2) that Project Blue Bird will run show all the options I've added to the car - not at all how she came from the factory. Granted, the VON is a dead giveaway on mine too (as is the Hemi engine ...

Re: 1971 Superbird concept

No matter the demand, the kits will always have a high price as there is a TON (metric crap-ton to be specific) of hours of work to produce the parts. You don't even want to know how many hours it takes to go from zero to ready for paint for just the rear window louvers, let alone everything else. G...

Re: SNow

Being from Cleveland, 18" of snow isn't really worth talking about, unless it all comes in a 24-48 hour period. Then it will muck things up for a day before life gets back to normal. We were missed in the last couple storms of the year - I had maybe 24-26" at the house after it was all said & done. ...

Re: I'm stoked!

Looks good Bruce, at least the car and the girls. You, on the other hand... well - nobody was really expecting any improvement there. ;) Not to hijack the thread at all, but yes - sadly Project Blue Bird has suffered from a major case of Lackofmoneyitis caused by the onset of a case of Twokidsitis. ...

Merry Christmas to the Nest

Hey all!

I know I'm not around the Nest as much as I'd like. I do want to wash all our members here a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!

May Santa have been good to you, and may you have the opportunity to spend good time with friends and family!

Re: 1973 road runner SUPERBIRD

Yea, that does really resemble that generation of the Javelin! Actually, I kinda like the black car. Loose the bumper guards and swap out the wheels (not my personal style) and I'd drive her.
