Re: Another Plymouth B-Body Sunroof car saved...well...maybe...yes!

Took advantage of AMD's blowout sheet metal sale and scored these two full quarter panels for only $150 a piece!! Still several years out on starting this car, but could not pass up on the deal. Score!!

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard

Took advantage of AMD's blowout sheet metal sale and scored these two quarter skins for only $87 a piece!! Still a few years out on starting this car, but could not pass up on the deal. The driver's side piece was slightly damaged, but in a spot that I won't need - and it was the very last one they ...

Re: Daddy's Stinky Car progress page - updated for 2021.

Alright, Spring is finally getting here. Picked up a nicer engine stand and a new tool box from Harbor Freight to get ready for this engine assembly. First thing I had to do was to locate one of these timing chain oiler tabby things - and you can find them on eBay for $15. Looked closely at it and s...

Re: 1971 Factory Sunroof car saved from the salvage yard

Thanks 73X. The color combo is outstanding. I only wish it was a factory big block car, but it will be a nice economical cruiser with the 318 I have acquired for it.

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner (it's PAINTED!)

Very cool. I plan to do the same thing. I might have to replace my sockets in my housings first tho. Let us know what the part numbers are on the bulbs - looks like a shorter one for the reverse lights? You need to slow down - you are getting too far ahead of me...

Re: What's your color?

Very cool. Welcome to the Nest! Post some pictures when you can. As you might have seen in one of the previous comments - there is a link to a table that shows how many cars were painted a certain color across the entire line. For white, there were just a little over 10,000 Satellites, Road Runners,...

Updates??? :bump: :bump:
Winter finally arrived in South Dakota, so not much car action right now. Progress will continue when it gets a little warmer.

Re: sorta new

Awesome work! Your car most likely took a nice solid bump to the rear end at some point - that crumple zone in the rear frame rail did exactly what it was designed to do. Great that you were able find another rear frame rail. I dismantled a 71 Sebring Plus several years back and have a nice set of r...

Re: 1973 Satellite Custom - Suspension Question

Yes, the 1973-1974 suspension / K-Frames are completely different than the earlier 1971-1972 ones. In 1973 they went with an "Isolator" system which was supposed to absorb a little more of the harshness from rough roads. A description of the new "Torsion-Quiet" suspension can be found here: https://...

Re: Daddy's Stinky Car progress page - updated for 2020.

Holidays and Winter are a tough time to get anything car-wise accomplished. Did catch a couple good weather days in the last 2 months to get one more section completed. The driver's side inner A-pillar brace where the sun visor mounts was ate up with rust on this car from condensation while sitting ...

Last two patches are in - the windshield channel is completely finished now. Also scored an Edelbrock Performer intake for my little souped-up 318 build. https://i.imgur.com/lahw8M9.jpg https://i.imgur.com/h1k6GIZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/a8y2KXI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/ollJaYC.jpg https://i.imgur.co...
