Well as luck would have it I have to replace the rear seal on the 72 RR. So, I opted to remove the engine so I can work on it easier and also clean/paint everything up and really detail the engine to my likeing. A few questions came up, The Air cleaner lid, The car is an original Air grabber car and...

So with the caption "after Dec 3 1971" would that mean depending upon the production/build date of the car dictate whether the car has/had them?

Awe crap, No original paint, car underwent a complete rotisserie resto resto a few years ago.
Just so I'm understanding this, now they came with them? Hmmmm
They were always black right?

AH OK cool great to know, My 72 is an original N96 car and does not have them either and the previous owner said they did not have them, I just wanted to be sure,

Did original air grabber cars come with those cross bars under the hood?, not sure of the correct name, Its the bars that go from either fender to the threaded stud on the firewall..

Wiper arms will not return to park position when turned off

72 RR, supposedly new 2 speed wiper motor, Turn them on they work fine, turn them off they just stop where ever they are on the windsheild... Switch? motor? :help:

Hmmm, this is interesting. I have been told by a few people that the 71's had the V21 option and they got the organsol paint behind the bubble, and 72's did not as the V21 option was not available in 72 as a stand alone option, However, here are some pictures of 72's with them. 72 RR original air grabber car, wondering IF the black on the Air grabber bubble continues onto the hood behind the actual bubble OR does that area stay body color?

1972 RR bumper rubbers, standard or optional

Wondering if the rubber around the rear tailights and the small rubber strip on the front bumper was standard for the Roadrunner or was it an option.
