Is it possible that a GTX would come without a tachometer? Or without AC? The last 3 digits are 796 meaning it was the 796th car out of the factory, in September 1970, for the 71 calendar year.
This appears to be a very low option GTX, but what specs did ALL GTX's come with?
TIA
Clint

Fender Tag - How do I get one?
Hi,
I'm new to the board. I acquired a 71 GTX a few months back. It has no fender tag and no broadcast sheet. Just a vin on the dash and on the driver door.
How would I go about getting documentation for this car?
TIA,
Clint

Re: 1971 GTX St. Louis Production
Hi Scott, Yep, it's an early production car. August. But I do not have a fender tag or build sheet so my knowledge of this car is limited. I will say it's RS23U1G1007XX on my VIN though. Not sure this would help but a local guy looked at it and thinks it could have been one of the first ones off the...

New to the board, thanks for the welcome! This appears to be a pretty sleepy board overall. Lol

Re: 1971 GTX St. Louis Production
Hello All, I just purchased a 1971 Plymouth GTX. It's a B5 True Blue color. It's door sticker says manufactured in August 1970, so it's early build from the St Louis plant. It's a standard 440 automatic car. I'm trying to find out color production figures for it. The only numbers I know are 2211 tot...
